I turn on my favorite college indie rock station(have to be in the town it's broadcasted from for quality), and turn on my tape recorder when the DJ stops talking. Then I take that tape to my friends vinyl pressing business where he makes me a 7" of what's on that tape.

What.CD when I can, I've filled enough requests to have plenty of ratio to freely download plenty.
(my upload speed is sub-DSL)

Often I just buy the cds when I can, but if I'm going to buy it, I don't buy digital.
It's just me, but I like the feeling of listening to a CD for the first time on a CD, makes you pay a bit more attention I guess than just another random freely available CD on the internet.
Same goes for pirating games, I play games I get on steam so much more than when I pirated.

>>
>>49126171
I usually download a bunch of shit through the archive or directly from bandcamp to start.

If the album is too obscure to find in decent quality, I usually try begging in sharethreads or TPB as a last resort.

I go to my local record store and buy CD's once a week, usually out of their stock of used CD's. If an album is particularly good and I don't find it used, I'll buy it directly from the record label or wait until the band shows up to buy a copy at their merch table.

Study them like you're taking a test. Take notes.

They just quiz you with questions that you'd know if you knew everything in the interview prep. Sometimes you get a nice interviewer who will allow you a wrong answer or two, or you could get someone who will say no the moment you get something wrong. Better to just know everything in the prep. Even if you fail, you can take the test twice more.

>>
>>49135701

>evolved
>not listening lossless

top fucking kek
>>
>>49135738

>listening to loseless on your phone
>while you are in a busy subway

Its like you are superman or something.
>>
>>49126171
My dad. I like Metallica, ACDC and Buckcherry. Nothin else.
>>
You don't get your music from your torrent client, you get it from your peers, fuck I should have stayed on /g/
>>
deturl.com/
slap that infront of any youtube url and just dl from there. as for finding new music i just browse /mu/, spotify, or soundcloud. sometimes even youtube
>>
>>49135997

I'm pretty sure everyone here knows that.
>>
>>49135155
go to their irc and ask them to enable it again
(you could've done this the whole time btw)
>>
>>49126295
I thought that's what everyone did...

It's the fastest/easy way. I also add rar or "320" to the search

>>
>>49126360

>>
>>49132629
Kickass is a tracker site you dumbshit.
>>
>>49126360
no, it's the most tedious way.
>>
>>49137002
the interface is painfully confusing
>>
>>49132797
i just skimmed the prep and fucked up the interview the first time. i had a nice interviewer, but i wasn't prepared. they were mainly asking me to figure out what counts as a transcode, which amounts to recalling which various formats are lossy and which are lossless.

my second interview was way harder, i had to guess if something was a transcode/what bitrate it was by looking at the spectral thing. way funner questions but fucking nervewracking at the time

apparently the interview process is really variable because the difference between the two was huge... at least they tell you where you fucked up though
>>
>>49137734
How?? It's incredibly simple, go to the search tab, search for any album, right click and download folder of the highest quality upload. Ever since I've discovered soulseek I never gone back to anything else.
>>
>>49137828
speaking of, is what down for anyone else?

>>

>soulseek has pretty much everything

yeah, especially transcodes
>>
>>49139350
lol dumbass don't know how to check for transcodes or use Slsk properly.
>>
>>49139399
yeah m8 i just don't feel like downloading an album 5 times from different people who all have like 25 kbps upload just to find out they're all transcodes
>>
>>49135659
This. I've given up on being part of an exclusive private tracker like what.cd. Spotify does cost 10 bucks a month, but it is more than worth it. Most stuff is on there and if not, rutracker probably has it in 320kbps or even better.
>>
i do the same, i just google "album x blogspot" it works 90% of the time

>they tell me i cant seed dead torrents and the case is closed

>>
>>49126171
>>seed a dead torrent

utorrent 2.2.1 > anything else
