I know it sounds harsh, but the reason these "implications" are 2deep4you is because you're not educated. For the vast majority of people who attach these implications, its a natural process. There's no trying, and certainly not enough effort expended to limit genuine enjoyment of the music itself. They're simply a natural extension of listening to the music.
Likewise, if you read interviews by essentially anyone who matters in vaporwave, they all discuss similar philosophical and political themes as being central to both the creation and enjoyment of the music itself. If you want to "groove to some fun, campy [nostalgic] pop music" then go listen to actual pop music from the 90s and early 2000s so you don't have to try to think about anything while listening to it.
