Production style is rad; I love the compressed/old-radio sound to this. I'm not a huge fan of the genre but followers of this style will enjoy it immensely; hella grooves here.

I just listened to the first 4 tracks and i really enjoyed them. Really digging the simplicity in the begining of Alcatraz tho I didn't really enjoy the sax I thought the build up was well done. I think savior is too "erasure-y" wich I suppose is what you were going for but, well, erasure did it first. Really liked everything about chemitrails. I also liked codeine but I thought it was a little bland at the start, it picks up later tho.
Gonna be listening to the rest of the album
Also, wtf does "post structualist pop" even mean? I thought that was a little pretentious

>yingthi is not perfect. yingthi is yingthi. by observing yingthi, you are making a choice.
Well sure, that is a weird proverb to use... Now can I comment about your stuff, I'm not really sure. It sure is weird and the weird part is always a OK in my book. It sure sounds fresh-y than most of the "weird" electronica fellows these days but there are just things that I'm not buying all that well. Keep in mind - I'm not into electronica all that much but I guess that means you can get an opinion of a guy who doesn't go in all on that particular genre. Firstly, vocals on some tracks are obnoxious. Mixing makes them too freaking loud to get a full enjoyment of the track. I kinda get also what are you trying to go for in more conceptual approach. But Unfamiliarize sounds to me like experimental form of trap and that's about it. Which is really sad, I would like to see this track go in another direction not necessarily in a of making trap-ish track, maybe more eternal with a bit more delay and feedback. Maybe that's what my ambient head is trying to say, I don't know. Also, what the hell is wrong with this trap approach? Not a fan at all. But I strongly believe there is a lot of potential in that idea, got to tell you that. But go away, go somewhere different next time, less of a beat music, more into realm of darkness, void and the unknown. It will make you more interesting as an artist, I believe.

I'm not sure how much I actually like this but it's unquestionably unique. I don't really like all the crackle on the vocals, and they sound like you're trying to scream and whisper at the same time because you don't want to disturb your neighbors. But I do like the guitars, they hit all the right buttons for me.
>>61578544
Be careful with your formatting if you can. The post is weirdly separated and I have poor reading comprehensions skill apparently so I ended up at a band called Jinks's page and they were better than you guys. Your productions is great, instrumental skills are good, but the vocals are weak. The songwriting is fine except, when you have a whole track dedicated to being an instrumental intro and then give your first actual track an extended instrumental intro too it's easy to get bored. It's usually better to just get straight to the point.
>>61578737
Man I must have done something wrong in the production stage because most of the screams in this song were done at full lung capacity.
>>61578544
>>61578737

I'm trying to finish up a collaboration with the talented Eelot and I have a mini-album that I'm six tracks in and still plugging away at.
>>61578777
yeah it just sounds super thin. It could be a production thing, or it could be a basic screaming technique thing. I can't give any advice on that because I don't use any proper techniques, I just scream until my head throbs and my throat is shredded and I'm sure that'll catch up to me one day. Try double tracking the screams like you might for guitars, and don't cut the low end just so it sits better in the mix. it could be my speakers too a certain extent, it's not like I'm listening to these through studio monitors or even a headphone amp.
>>61578618
Maybe, maybe not, who knows?
>>61578562
I've never listened to your stuff so I got a listen to your "Gravity". And sure enough - you can make a nice atmosphere. A rare thing in my mind to achieve. But as I listened to each track one by one I got this really unnatural feeling of... instability. You can make really nice tracks such as "Space" or "Law of Gravity". But then again on tracks like "The Sun's Gravitational Field" I completely lose my nerve - it sounds bloody silly. The delay and reverb effects also sounds a bit generic - you could work on them for a while to be quite honest. I guess going away from drone would be beneficial too. For once, you could make a more solid compositions and for two, I can't get enjoyed by really bloody easy to make drones. Sorry man, I wish I could listen to your stuff more but I just can't. But I wish you good luck, expand your skills and make them grander, no matter what direction you may choose.
>>61578811
Loving your newest as well!
>>61578838
Well, the timbre of scream I use is similar to a whisper; it's like using the texture you use for whispering except with the full force of the diaphragm.
Which screams in particular are you talking about? The screams in the chorus are definitely double-tracked, with a low guttural and a high scream, and the second verse has intervals of double-tracking (such lyrics as "My heart was never yours to promise/my path was never ours to walk", "I've chosen to renew and grow, you elect the way of pain", etc)
It's more likely the way it's mixed or your speakers, though when people tell me something is wrong with my work production-wise, I give their listening devices the benefit of the doubt and assume high-quality so...
...idk my bff jill
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to listen. Checking yours out now.

Yeah this project is fucking awesome. Some of the low gutturals lose me and sound a bit silly but your guitarwork is erection-inducing, and the "spoken-word" passages are fucking killer. I love almost everything about this. It's a bit lo-fi but fuuuuck I don't care, most of my stuff is too and I appreciate the artistic vision in this project way too much to give a fuck about the production. 10/10 would kill my neighbor's dog to this.

>>61578207
This is cool and I'm going to download it, it reminds me of when I constantly listened to The Human League in secondary school. Very enjoyable.
>>61578243
Very pretty sounding work, anon. Sounds like something I'd hear from some 8bit revival indie game. An Orange Glow Coming From The Woods is probably my favourite.
>>61578535
>>61578207
Xanax, homeles and fred perry i enjoyed at first but then they get too repetitive and at the end what xanax was building up to just didn't pay off. Slash was a pretty good track, the "guitar" was a little cheesy but it worked. Loved dianabol. Do em(...), estrogen and soda were good. Skipped p diddy altogether beacause time. Carcinoges was another very erasure like track. The good die young was a good and refreshing track. Very good album overall
>>61578920
I listened to the chorus again and I can hear the second growl track now, but I think it needs to be mixed higher and still needs more body. It might be my speakers, or it might not be. Obviously I'm no expert mixer but I do have one tip. When I mix shit I usually listen to it on my shitty computer speakers, then on my fancier cans, and then I burn it to a CD and listen in my car. I take notes on all of them and then try to find the best balance. Usually I bungle it because again I'm bad at mixing, but the idea is sound. I think if you listened to this on a car stereo the whole thing would sound super zippy and thin.
Thanks for listening to my stuff, I'm glad you like it and it jives with ya.
>>61579335
Idk, it sounds pretty full on my hi-def TV and my shitty headphones, shitty laptop speakers, and my hi-def earbuds but I might take your advice on fleshing out the vocals anyway, can't be too sure.
>>61578299
Thank you! You already know I love your stuff.
>>61578535
>>61579129
Thanks a lot man, I listened to the long version of sinestesia and I like how it manages to be experimental without resorting to traditional noise/drone tropes. The guitar work is reminiscent of Derek Bailey and the percussion sounds nice and spacious, but I have to say I'm not quite as in love with the breathy vocals as I am with the rest of it.
>>61579119
Thank you! Your stuff sounds like Ruff Sqwad reimagined by Perry Ellis and Mikey Wild, it's kind of like someone who's never been to a big city describing what it's like to live in one. The album cover is gorgie too, looks like a Volvo commerical.
