I admit, I was hoping that this would be basis the adventure-fantasy storyline people have been looking towards since the series premiere.
Realistically, though, I'd have settled for even micro-comics included in each of the toys like Transformers. Or even a kind of pseudo-storyline like Lego does with its lines, where you sort of have to put things together through supplemental information.
But it doesn't seem like there's anything in the way of storyline. They just... are. Why does Twilight have special gear for facing down this changeling? What's a Shadowbolt doing fighting a Cockatrice? How the fuck am I supposed to take a tank seriously if it shoots rubber chickens?
