Keep Calm and Flutter On was a jumbled mess, like the majority of S3 episodes; the S4 premiere is a flat-line, and the finale is only adored because of its DBZ nonsense. Make New Friends but Keep Discord is probably the strongest out of all of them, but is hampered by needless fanservice.

I think it's mainly surrounding on how the S5 finale was disappointing both of itself and to her character and that Glim Glam was changed from what fans of her considered her to be a really great villain into a less interesting character with a disappointing direction her character is having, or what some would argue is a blatant expy of Sunset Shimmer. Do you hate her on because of her beliefs back in S5 or also on how she obtains and maintains her goals. Nu-glim fails as a character even from the most objective standpoint possible. She brings no new character dynamic to the table, she fills no role that a dozen other more established characters couldn't, and she doesn't really have any meaningful conflicts. She doesn't do anything interesting or enlightening. The fact that this... thing... was ripped from a far superior character makes it even worse.

Well to be fair she is already quite adept in magic and has figured out things that Twilight hasn't (like the cutie mark removal spell, extending the time travel spell by using the cutie map) and has helped fixed the cutie map and repair the Crystal Heart. But you're still right with the no new character dynamic, meaningful conflict, and the fills no role that others could easily fill in (like Zecora, or Moondancer.) Personally I'm just waiting on how they'll handle her even further for better or for worse. If for better, I don't know how they fucking did it, but congrats, but it still doesn't make up for her reformation in the first place.
