First off, that pic does things to my heart.
Second, I can't be telling any details about our hunter's future misfortunes, now can I?
We'll just have to see what happens when they face what lies on the path ahead.
Let’s all hope that they find everything that they need in the Golden Frontier.

>>27824348
Updated bby.

>>27824714
Twilight would probably call him a "sapient construct". I mean, calling your friend a "flesh golem" might be too hard for our little princess’s feelings.
Surprises? What surprises? I am most definitely NOT hiding any and all manner of surprises up my sleeve or in our hunter’s pocket .
Fuck, I feel like I should focus a whole chapter on Lumen/Blaze and Silver given the amount of backstory left to cover. What am I to do with myself?

>>27825507
Oh, I hope that the actual ending will blow you away too!
I just wished that I could get that ONE FUCKING CHEESY LINE out of my head, but I can’t, because it’s Twilight, and she likes her Friendship Monologues before a showdown.

>>27825674
This >>27826186, my friend.

>>27836332
I would have been the first to post but I didn’t know we were kill.

>>27837164
Don’t let everyone know about that!

So guys, did you enjoy the explanation behind our hunter’s abilities and survival?
Was it what you hoped it would be? Where you satisfied?
Now I have to work on our hunter’s proper reaction to the situation and how to go forward from this point in his life.
It’s a good thing that familiar faces are coming to town, don’t you think?
>smug princess pic is unrelated

Walle, get your ass back here. You are one of us now.
>>
>>27838269
i really did not see it coming, and i do not know what to make of it yet, but i'm loving it. can't fucking wait for the next update
smug princess pic is lovely. makes me want to see her being a little sassier in your story, she's been too depressed lately (for obvious reasons)
>>
>>27838269
I really enjoyed twilight's explanation about anon's abilities and all that wacky shit. I'm still on the fence about the fact that he's technically dead but I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.

I was not expecting him being a golem. I said oh shit out loud when it dawned on me. The explanation is well done. I wonder what else you have in store for us.

I really want to get her on a much livelier mood, something akin to what was shown at night when she was in our hunter's arms, but I had to clear the details about what is going on with our hunter, why their relationship had been strained, and give you guys a little fuel for thought as to what might become of the two of them and their magical connection.
Don't worry though, there will be time for her to show a lovely smile, to sperg cosmically at the sight of ancient books, and to give a blinding display of magical prowess (she is the best little mage companion a man could ever ask for, after all).

Time to open that special bottle of whiskey

>>27838520
>>27838779
I'll try to be uncharacteristically blunt about this detail, if only to quench my sudden burst of autism.
Twilight isn't a necromancer, or at least not in the more classic or mainstream depiction of it. She is, and fervently believes it, a distressed mare who, having no other option available to her at the time, inadvertently turned her savior into a golem by pumping him full of magic in a desperate attempt to find a way to heal him.
Our hunter is alive, if one can use such a word for one who is now magic bound to his revolver and his friend, but since he isn't a creature born into magic, he is in a rather complicated situation. Twilight sees this predicament on one end of the spectrum, hence why she claims to have killed him despite him being alive and well. She is, after all, just an innocent mare, a very gentle and caring soul who must face things that she normally wouldn't have to and who is rather overwhelmed by it.
She would totally kick ass if she were given the chance though. And she will be given the chance.

I'm rambling again...
And now I wanna write a dark prophet twilight green.
Great.

>>27839160

>"WALLE!"
"What Ziri..." you ask sleepily.
>"YOU DON'T HAVE A PASTEBIN YET, GO MAKE ONE."
"Fuck off and go to bed Ziri, it's too fucking early for this shit."
>Through your half awake ears, you hear Ziri sigh loudly.
>"I didn't want to have to do this... but you leave me no choice."
>Taking advantage of your half asleep state, Ziri grabs yourluna dakimurabody pillow and flings it aside.
>You force your eyes open and jump to your feet, ready to kill.
>"See? I knew you..."
>He stops himself when you give him a look that could melt steel.
>Taking advantage of his 'oh shit' moment, you grab Ziri and fling him through the window.
>A loud crash and hollow thump follow.
>Shit... this was a two story house.
>Quiet groans and the sound of glass crunching confirms that Ziri still lives.
"You're gonna pay for the window Ziri," you shout out the window.
>Whelp, it was too late to go back to sleep, might as well get on with my life.
>Grabbing a jacket from the coathanger, you put it on.
>No time like the present, I suppose.

>Shards of glass litter the ground beneath you and you thank your argentinean gods that you aren't hurt.
>Maybe you could work as a stuntman once this is all over.
>Getting yourself up, you brush the dirt and glass off of your coat and stare at Walle's front door with a bittersweet smile.
"At least I got to know you, friend."
>You turn to leave, the long way to the airport a dreadful thing that you wish not to think about, when suddenly a word, unmistakable and absolute in its demand, flashes through your mind.

Walle is standing in his kitchen, enjoying the marvels of a cup of coffee, when you jump through one of his windows, rolling on the floor like a master of parkour.
>"Dude, what the fuck are you doing?!"
>You push his cup away from his hand and it shatters a few meters away.
>He wants to talk but you grab his face, palms pressing his cheeks, and he loses control over his thoughts.
>You speak stoically and to the point.
"Walle, we need to write. The anons need us."
>He nods reluctantly.
"I'll pay for the windows."

Who would have thought that that one sentence would have spawned a near 300 page story which will, assuming 275 is the current page count with nothing written after, end at around 400 pages.
In a little bit less than three weeks it will be 5 months of following and seeing this story progress. That, in my mind, is difficult to imagine - it sure does not feel like that much time has passed.

>>27848092
Seeing as I only bumped with Luna for the entirety of the previous thread, I think it is rather fair for the Moon to begin to set in wake of the Sun. I will, however, use what I have of both of them together as transition.

How come no drawfag has made some art for this green?
We have the grotesque, the meeting with sunbutt, the hydra, the Spire, and now the battle with the timberwolves.
Someone has to take a shot at it already!
Ziri you should definitely get some high quality comission for when you turn this into a proper FiMFiction story.

Now how am I to surprise the readers with Nyx's voluptuous ass and all the tight bedroom shenanigans that she'll have with Twilight and our hunter?
God, I can't believe you would do that.

>>27849620
It is hard for me to think about the road so far.
Honestly, I never imagined a story, much less one as long as this one. I mean, it was just a silly prompt.
>"Oh! Cheap feels! Sure, let's give it a go."
Suddenly you realize that 4 months and 130.000 words later you have a proper story, you have entertained a good number of people, and you wake up every morning thinking about what will happen in the last 3 chapters. The things that put Silver in this path, the starlit nights in the Golden Frontier, the cataclysm that precedes the opening of the vaults, the life and death of Lumen and Blaze.
It should be overwhelming at times, but it isn't. It is invigorating to think of it all and I wouldn't change that feeling for any other.
I love working towards giving you guys the best green that I can, and I hope that, when it eventually comes to a close, you will all be left satisfied with the only thing that this humble anon could ever provide for you.

>>27852269
That is totally up to the drawfags, my friend.
Perhaps none have found an inspiration in this story, perhaps none have read it.
We still have some road ahead of us, someone might always come!
I'll definitely be considering that, though I am actually hoping to use something posted by a generous drawfag.

Well, there could always be a sequel to Hunter Anon...
Although after the conclusion of this green I'll most likely work on a proper FiMFiction story which will focus on the consequences brought about by the "reckless" travel between dimensions that begun with Sunset's exile. These consequences will be, amongst other things, the conflict between two entities as they vie for the attention of their "mother", which is a creature directly related to the mirror portal, and the mane 7 part in it all of it.
Oh, and please, do not listen to full house. Better follow almost satan's advice and become my boy toy! God knows my big, sweaty, south american hands are just dying to touch you and every sensitive part of your body.

>The revelation of a life sustained by something other than your own strength, of an existence that persists by the will of the mare and not your own, leaves you in shambles as you futilely struggle to comprehend its significance.
>It is impossible for the mind to make sense of it at first, to truly understand the depths of what it means to have become a slave to magic –a concept which has no equal on Earth, that can’t be explained by any laws or school of thought that has ruled over you during your entire life- and so you search for any explanation that you can hold onto to keep yourself from descending into a panic.
>So far you’ve only thought of magic as an abstract concept bound to the impossible nature of fantasy portrayed in the show or other works of fiction, then when you arrived here you just accepted it as a part of the world, but now it is an inseparable part of you, an invisible flow of energy that courses through you and allows you to stand when your body can’t endure it.
>This power, this object of imagination, is the one and only thing keeping you alive and you should respect it, fear it for death may claim you at any moment if it weren’t for it, and yet when you recall every day since you opened your eyes inside Canterlot Castle you find nothing, not even the slightest trace, of wrongness within you.
>You had woken up a normal man, although at first paralyzed by a numbing spell, and you breathed and behaved in the same manner that you always have.
>Nothing had changed significantly enough for you to notice.
>So how could Twilight’s words be true?
>Her tears and moans are evidently honest –you would never doubt the pureness of her emotions- but her claims, ‘I’ve killed you’, how can you believe them?
>Your father had once told you, during an evening on the porch with a can of beer in his hand, that it is not a man’s place to understand everything that graces his life.
>>
>>27873872
>He always claimed that there was beauty in the unknown and the unexplainable, that reason and logic sometimes shattered the mesmerizing splendor of the simple and mundane moments, that he never constricted his life with questions when there is more meaning to be found in a breath of the present and the sights that one may so fleetingly behold.
>Now his lesson somehow comes back to you, giving you some respite, quieting the qualms of your heart as you try not to think of what you have become, why you are alive, and in distancing yourself from these questions you can find some peace as you start to look for solace in your memories.
>You think of him, of how you considered him wise in his detached way of life, then foolish when he tried to turn his back on the hunt and your attachment to it.
>Perhaps, you reflect, he had come to realize the truth behind the life of a hunter and was terrified of what it would mean for you to embrace it, what would become of you if you were to find solace only among the trees and the thrill.
>You always wondered, when you witnessed the glint of animalistic sharpness in his eyes or when his hands would linger half a second too long before firing, that he was just a step away from going on the deep end, that he was scared of what he would turn into if the hunt overtook him.
>Maybe it had already happened once in his life, maybe that is why he refused to venture past the tree line during his twilight years.
>It is in thinking of this that you then manage to focus on the forests, the prey, the leaves beneath your feet, the way in which the light pierces the canopy and the murmur of the river that travels from its creek.
>And with their help you achieve enough control over yourself to speak even if in a whisper, and slowly you begin to convince yourself that you are not lost yet.
“You are wrong.”
>>
>>27873873
>Twilight doesn’t seem to register your voice over the sound of her despair, lost as she is in the black mazes of guilt that have trapped her mind, and she continues to cry freely.
>Terror takes you by the throat again and you feel bested by it, stuck beneath the mare with such insidious thoughts burning you from the inside like hellfire, incapable of finding a glimpse of relief in a world that has turned darker than the entrails of forests and caves during the night.
>Inside you the thumps of your wild heart sound louder than a gunshot in the plains, your lungs expand and contract with each distressed breath of morning air that you take, and your muscles ache from uninvited cramps of alarm.
>The air smells putrid and is too cold for the season.
>Pale light enters the room with trepidation and is all of a sudden too shy to share its warmth and glare.
>You can feel every unforgiving shudder coming from the mare coursing violently through your body, ravaging your nerve ends, pulling mercilessly at the strings of your heart.
>But all of this you can tell.
>All of this is real.
>Sensation, thought, emotion, memory.
>Real as every prey you’ve killed, as every drop of sweat as you chased after that deer before arriving to Equestria.
>It is all there, as surely as it was when you spent the hours alone in your empty room, undeniable as the longing that had pressed you to venture into the Everfree Forest in search of answers.
>No dead man should be able to perceive these things and it all comes together to break through the fear that cages you.
>You mumble, to her, to yourself, to whoever might be kind enough to listen, the words that free you.
“I’m alive…”
>She hears you this time, albeit faintly, and she can’t tell whether or not it was a sound created by her distraught imagination.
>>
>>27873875
>You see her continue her downpour of sorrow and self-pity, bawling her eyes out over what she believes to have failed, thinking that you are imprisoned in a body full of magic, barely human any more.
>And she cries away, certain that she has left you to live the miserable existence of something that has no true name in her world while in the middle of this storm your mind sees the shine of a safe shore, perhaps because you have settled in denial, perhaps because your body is telling you so, and you know that you have to show Twilight a way out of her tempest.
>Slowly, you push yourself to raise your hand –something that you find much harder than you would have ever considered possible- and as softly as the grace of a leaf you stroke her head, unreasonably worried that the mare might shatter if you are too rough.
>Twilight is instantly more distraught by this, finding no comfort in your warmth or your delicate touch.
>She shakes cruelly in your hands, unable to breathe and terrified that you might hurt her for what she has done.
>The memory of your gun sucking away her magic comes rushing back to her, mercilessly reminding her of the pain that she had faced in that moment.
“Twilight...”
>You begin, knowing not what else to do help her, hoping that you are man enough to rescue her from sorrow, and the words flow out of you unrestricted carrying with them your truest emotions.
“There is no way that I can come to understand what you have gone through, what you were forced to do to save me, and for all my years I’ve never come across anyone that has done such a thing for me, nor have I ever met someone to whom I have come to care so much about.
“You have brought countless things into my life, things that you aren’t even aware of. Your adventures, your voice, the sheer sight of you, it all does things to me that nothing else has ever done before.
>>
>>27873876
“I’d close my eyes every night thinking about you, content to have you by my side, troubled if I didn’t get to see your smile that day, and from the minute that I was brought to this world I can’t picture myself in the company of anyone else.
“I wake each morning longing to see you, to have you bring a glimmer of joy into a life that has felt empty for so long. You have done so much for me, just by being there, just by being alive.”
>Your words find their way into her, gently bringing comfort to her frantic heart.
>Her sobs have subsided into quiet sniveling and her shaking is now a mild quiver that accompanies each whimper.
“I don’t know how much longer I’ll remain in this world, how many more nights I’ll be given the chance to spend with you, but if there is something that I am certain of, is that I have never felt so alive as I have since we began this journey together.
“Meeting you has given me purpose, being with you fills me with happiness, and whatever happened that day, whatever it is you did, was right.
“I am alive, Twilight. I am here, with you. And I will continue to be for as long as fate allows me to.
“So please, don’t cry for the things that have passed. You have given me everything, and you should be proud of it.”
>She lifts her head off your chest, big teary eyes searching for yours, and as you meet her gaze you run your hand down to the side of her snout, cupping her cheek.
>”How can you say those things, feel that way?”
>You give her an honest smile but she is reluctant to accept it.
“Because you make me happy and I don’t trouble myself questioning why.”
>”I’ve put your life in danger, turned you into a living construct completely dependent on magic. If you had never come here then everything would be better.”
“Do you really think so?”
>She doesn’t answer.
“I’m alive, healthy, and glad to have met you. Whatever you believe you’ve turned me into doesn’t matter.”
>>
>>27873879
>She recoils away from you, using her magic to tear your hands off of her as she jumps to the floor, yelling at you in distress.
>You instantly sit up in the bed, facing her.
>”Of course it matters! You may not see the consequences of what I’ve done, but I do! It is by my own stupidity that you always –always!– get harmed, and I won’t let you dismiss it all just because you can’t fully grasp the implications!”
“So what do you want me to do about it? To say that I hate you for it? That I don’t want to see you again for what you’ve done?”
>She turns so as not to look at you any more, biting her lower lip and letting her ears fall flat against her head.
“Twilight, you saved my life. You may think that I am somehow less than I was before I arrived here, but it isn’t so. I am not in any way worse than I was in my home world and I refuse to let whatever happened stop me from doing, from feeling, the things that I want. I am alive because of you and that is what truly matters to me.”
>”You should have never become so dependent on magic. It isn’t something that has ever been registered before, it isn’t right, and I don’t fully understand it.
>”While you were still asleep we decided to test what would happen if I stopped feeding you magic for some time. Since you were still recovering your body consumed a lot of energy to heal itself and once the magic was depleted your wounds started appearing again, as if you were returning to your previous state. I never risked doing it again.”
“Is there no way to fix it?”
>It takes her a minute to give you an answer and it is clear that it is one that she has been debating with herself for quite some time now, perhaps from the moment in which she first heard of the powers that Silver was seeking out.
>>
>>27873882
>”Canterlot’s Royal Library had little on the subject. All known accounts of such magical transfer were on objects and ponies, none of which showed side effects similar to yours. I myself have had the magic of the other princesses transferred into me and all that it did was overcharge me with power, which did cause my spells to be rather unstable for a time but nothing else.
>”When we entered the Spire and I saw its library I thought that there would be some sort of answers there, and then when Geist showed up I had hoped that it would be willing to help us. Turns out it was just another disappointment.
>”All that is left now is The Vaults and I really don’t want to get my hopes up, but they might –just might– hold some ancient spell that I can use to sever the link while also letting you live without any need for my magic. Lumen was powerful enough to create that tower of hers, Starswirl was her teacher and Geist her servant, so that place could hold some answers, anything that I can use, anything at all.
>”And I know that this might sound silly but I can’t help thinking that there is a reason why we were shown the way to that place. Geist said that he didn’t care if The Vaults were opened and he was blatantly clear that he wouldn’t intervene in the world’s affairs, but then why agree to show Silver the map? Why teleport us away from the tower when it could have simply left us on the island?
>”Silver wants power, I want answers. Maybe Geist is helping all of us find what we want. If it didn’t care if we stopped Silver then I have to believe that he showed us the way for some other reason.”
“So all we have to do is stay together and move forward.”
>”But what if there is nothing there? If I can’t fix this and Geist is just playing with us?”
>You get off the bed, stretching widely once on your feet, the energizing sensation of blood rushing through your limbs is yet another reassurance that you are well.
>>
>>27873885
>Briefly you allow yourself to think about all the strange magical ailments that seem to be plaguing you.
>The need for magic, the hum in your head, the visions of Blaze and Lumen.
>You glance at your revolver, secured in the holster and lying on the ground with the rest of your belongings.
>On Earth you were bound to it by emotion and almost a lifetime together, here the connection is more profound, meaningful in ways that are needlessly challenging to put into words.
>It shimmers for but an instant, almost hinting with a feeble consciousness that you have made the right decision in besting fear and doubt, choosing to live as you’ve always done it, worrying not of tomorrow, thinking only of the present.
>You then kneel before Twilight and press your hand against her chest.
>Although guarded, her expression carries the faintest tinge of affection and a half smile creeps onto her face when you begin to ruffle her fur.
“We have to believe that everything is going be fine.”
>She nods, although reluctantly.
>”I’m finding the stories that you told me about your people very hard to believe.”
>You grin and gesture towards the door with your head.
“Do you want to have a drink with me and Daisy?”
>Twilight giggles and in seeing the strength of your heart she is finally able to brush away all the tears and sadness with a hoof.
>“Alcohol so early in the morning?”
“I could use some and…”
>The bartender’s words come to mind as you leave the conversation behind and move onwards in your quest.
“It never hurt anyone.”

Update done!

I really, really, REALLY, hated writing this one.
I can't even remember how many times I changed our hunter's reaction to Twilight's revelation, or in how many ways their conversation went.
This was a real pain in the ass and I am not even satisfied with the way it finally turned out but I just couldn't keep on rewriting the same 3000 words over and over again.
So feel free to hate it as much as I do, although if you actually enjoy it then that is perfectly fine. I mean, if anyone is supposed to like an update is you guys.
Have a qt twi as an apology.

>>27865125
Are you the same guy that posted a similar reaction when I first mentioned my interest in writing an eqg story?
If so I don't know if I should love or hate you, but you always make it laugh nonetheless.
I'm gonna write that story and people are gonna like it! I swear it!

>The trip through the wormhole was interesting, to say the least.
It was like being flung through space, passing by planets, stars, galaxies, and hell, even a few space stations.
>Eventually, after what seemed like hours of random flying, you were inserted rather violently into a planet, where your faceplate decided to make passionate love to the dirt ground.
>Groaning quietly, you pull yourself off the ground and stand.
"Functioning gravity, that was a good start," you say to no one in particular.
>As you observe your surroundings, you become keenly aware of two things:
>1: You're in a forest, which means trees, which means oxygen.
>2: You have no idea where to go.
>You take a look at the serial number on the wrist of the spacesuit, .
R1000YX2.
>R1000 told you that the emergency transponder went out to 1000 miles, more than enough to make sure that any station in the immediate vicinity was able to pick up on your location.
>Turning on the transponder, you resolve to test the atmosphere of the planet by taking off your helmet.
>After taking a deep breath, you slowly take off your helmet, ready for your head to explode like a watermelon with a grenade inside.
>As you do, your nose is assaulted by many aromas long foreign to your sense of smell.
>Man, how long has it been since you stepped foot in a natural forest?
>Over time, you got used to the sterile and metallic smell of a space station, so perhaps being thrown into an unknown world was a blessing in disguise.
>Seeing that you're on a clear path through the forest, you pick a direction and start walking.
"Well Dorothy," you say to yourself, "you're a long way from Kansas."
>>

Walle! You're back!
Good to see you, man.
Today seems to be a day full of updates. Hunter Anon's armor is ready and its update is being proofread right now.
>>
>>27873885
>As you begin your adventure down the path, you start to ponder what comes next.
>Evidently, the Starlight co. wouldn't take kindly to having an eyewitness of their disposal mission, and would probably kill you given the chance.
>You have no idea if the life on this planet was intelligent, or if there was even life to begin with.
>If luck was on your side, this was probably a planet several million galaxies away from your original location, or hell, maybe even a separate dimension where you could lay low for awhile.
>As you kept walking, you took note of the time you walked, which was probably several hours.
>Strangely, the sun was in the same position as when you got here, a phenomenon you couldn't explain.
>Out of nowhere, the sun started to move at a rapid pace, disappearing over the horizon to be replaced by the soft glow of the moon.
>Strange.
>Shrugging it off, you notice a ruined stone structure in the distance, which confirmed the presence of intelligent life.
>You quicken your pace, setting yourself at a jog, and speed towards your only close area of refuge.
>After reaching the castle, you draw your pistol and confirm it's fully loaded and armed.
>There probably wouldn't be anyone inside given the condition of the castle, but it was better to be safe than sorry.
>As you push open the heavy door, it's hinges creak and groan to signal your arrival.
>You raise your pistol and scan the hallway, ready to dispatch any threats.
>Other than the squeaks of scurrying rats, the entrance to the castle was deathly quiet.
>Slowly, you move through the corridor, passing by a wooden door, rotten by age.
>Two large metal doors sit at the end, handles covered in spiderwebs.
>The doors opened to reveal what you assumed to be the main area, containing nothing more than a marble throne engulfed in dust, as well as an open roof that shined moonlight upon said throne.
>>
>>27875693
>You return to the wooden door, and you give it a good push.
When it refused to budge, you kicked it down, resonating a loud crack that could raise the dead.
>Inside, there was a small library full of books, remarkably well preserved for how ruined the state of the castle was.
>You pick a thick one, interestingly titled "Botany and Species of Equestria."
>Equestria? A strange name.
>Maybe they worshipped horses or something.
>Making your way back to the main area, you dust off the throne and sit on it.
>For being a chair made out of solid rock, it was much more comfortable than it was supposed to be.
>Starting from page one, you begin to read through the first section, which was about edible wild vegetation that could be found in the forests.
>This information could come in handy when you eventually needed to go and forage for food, as well as which plants could be used medicinally, and also which needed to be avoided.
>As you flip through the pages, studying each one individually, you begin to feel your eyes get heavier and heavier.
>Closing the book and setting it down, you shut your eyes and fall into a deep sleep.
>>
>>27875558
Hey, feels good to be back.
>tfw your family is freaking out about you catching a 80 lb halibut but you're thinking about the plot of a story that you post on 4chan.

>>27873889
>Twilight, as it was expected, does not accept any offer of alcohol and instead asks for a glass of fresh apple juice with some toast on the side.
>As per your promise to continue the conversation with Daisy on a later occasion you decide to take the initiative and follow where you had left off, finishing up the tale while your companion enjoys her breakfast in silence, but when you sit before her and feel the whiskey burn your throat you find nothing to say to the zebra.
>The issues that had been plaguing you when you first talked to her are now resolved and you don’t want to prod at anything that was discussed in the privacy of the bedroom, so instead you go for some light banter and cheerful exchanges.
>Daisy is no fool and quickly catches on that you are not the same weary guy that had stared into his glass with the same telltale look that every heartbroken stallion would hold.
>The fact that Twilight now accompanies you during the morning, how at ease you two seem to be when having each other at one side, the smile that creeps on the princess’s face when you make a kind comment about her.
>Even for a mare of her age, so experienced in the dances of love and the tugs of sexual attraction, Daisy can’t help but feel flustered in by the sight of a princess and her knight.
>She says nothing on the subject though -she knows better- and is simply content with finally being able to share a chat with her two most interesting customers while you get to see Twilight as her usual self, which is evident in the vibrancy of her eyes every time you turn towards her and she shares with you a sweet, gentle smile.
>You speak of last night’s party, sharing some of its most entertaining anecdotes with Twilight, and explain to Daisy how your quest will soon take you further west, although you refrain from saying exactly where by the same reasons that you had been tight lipped about what happened inside the Spire.
>>
>>27876028
>The time that you three share is cheerful and appreciated.
>Daisy forgets about her troubled dreams and the anxiousness with which she had woken up, while you and Twilight relish in the newfound attachment that you two share now that there are is no more tension and secrets between the two of you, even if you still hide your previous knowledge of her and the fact that her life is a television shown on Earth.
>Nothing good would come of mentioning such things.
>Once breakfast is over you and Twilight leave the inn and venture out into the streets where Twilight asks that you two go about your business together.
>You eagerly agree and with her close by your side make your way towards the smithy.
>The walk there is short but there is enough time for you to explain to her that the chief had commissioned a set of armor for you, one that you are not too excited about but that could come in handy if you are forced into a fight again.
>She expresses her delight at the idea of you having some kind of protection and enthusiastically quickens the pace.
>Upon arriving, you two are met with Forging Grip sitting lazily on a chair outside of his shop, eyes closed and taking generous draws out of an elegantly carved, wooden smoking pipe.
>You clear your throat and the minotaur opens a single eye to see who has come to disturb him during this quiet morning.
>He gets on his feet as soon as he recognizes you and his voice rumbles through the streets.
>”Hunter! Come to check on your armor?”
“Is it finished?”
>”But of course. I was done with it yesterday’s evening.”
>Then his eyes fall on Twilight and he gives her an honest yet short vow as he introduces himself.
>”Forging Grip. A pleasure to meet you, princess.”
>She is immediately grateful of the gesture and vows.
>”Princess Twilight Sparkle of Equestria, and the pleasure is mine.”
>Standing straight again, the minotaur addresses you.
>”Ready to take a look?”
>>
>>27876034
>You nod and he walks towards a chest on the back of his shop, leaving his pipe behind on the table that, now empty, had once held his tools.
>He begins to take out piece after piece of your armor, placing them on the table by the pipe, bobbing his head as he does.
>By the time he finishes, he sports a toothy if far too big a grin and is puffing out his chest proudly as he presents his latest work.
>”Now I don’t know what sort of armor your kind use, but I took inspiration in minotaur designs to come up with something that would accommodate your needs and that wouldn’t restrict your movements.”
>He picks up the first piece and proceeds to explain each and every one in the order in which you should put them on.
>”This is what is called gambeson, a padded jacket for you to wear over your clothes and underneath your armor. It is quite light and flexible, so you will have no trouble moving around. It covers the chest, arms, and goes down to the knee. It provides you with the most basic of protections and is very handy in and of itself.
>”This is the work of our local tailor. It is by my recommendation that he dyed it black and made a pronounced collar so that it might protect your neck from a gracing arrow or talon, just don’t expect cloth to deflect a serious blow.
>”Go ahead, try it on, and make sure every strap from the neck down to the waist is properly fastened.”
>He hands you the jacket and, after taking off your bandana, coat, waist pack, and gun holster, you put it on while paying close attention to what he says next.
>”In fighting gryphons you should try to remain crouched, bend your knees and try not to stand straight, if they plunge towards you it is your best interest to keep on your toes as once they have you pinned down they will probably go for the eyes or neck and the battle will be over.”
“Hopefully I’ll take them out from a distance before they have the chance.”
>>
>>27876055
>”Even if that were so, keep my advice in mind. You won’t be able to remain standing after a gryphon’s plunge.
>”After the gambeson comes the chest plate, which will cover the breast area and go halfway down, stopping just above the pit of the stomach. You do have the stomach here, right?”
>He points a little below the center of his chest, right where his ribcage ends, and you nod.
>”Great, then it should cover every area above it and the section between the neck and the shoulder’s end.
>”You might think that it is made out of leather but that’s because I’ve covered the actual thing in order to conceal the polished steel –and because it looks better this way. It is very durable, strong enough to easily deflect a talon or sword, and is the most important part of the set.”
>Once he hands it to you, he gestures to the area underneath your armpits.
>”Straps are right there.”
>It surprises you how light the piece is, as if was made out of cloth rather than metal.
>”For the legs you have protective steel pads, also covered in leather, for you to strap around the thighs. Once a gryphon notices your agility, it will surely try to go for the thigh, and these should be a nice surprise. Might as well crack a claw before hitting flesh.
>”As for the lower leg and hooves, I had to get really creative, so you have some knee length, leather boots. You have steel soles and steel platting on the front –no need to cover those with more leather- instead of full steel boots since I thought they would be more your style. It also helps that they aren’t as noisy. Go ahead.”
>Forging Grip is quite surprised the moment you take off your shoes and socks, and he gets to see your bare feet and wiggling toes.
>”Those are disgusting.”
>That is the only thing he says about it and you laugh sincerely at the outburst.
>With socks and new boots on, you start walking around, getting a feel for the footwear.
>You are very satisfied with the results.
>>
>>27876061
>”Comfortable?”
“Quite.”
>”Well then, moving on you have these arm pads, meant to cover the outer area of the upper arm –straps are on the inner side of the arm- and follow the same design as the others.
>”After that we have these pads for the forearms. They are strapped like everything else and protect the area between the elbow and wrist from every side, and have a small leather flap to cover half of the hand’s back. You can use them over your very special, manacloth gloves.
>”And that’s it. No shoulder guards and no helmet though, but I think that you like it that way.”
>Once you have your full set on, Twilight lifts your bandana off the floor and ties it around your neck, the finishing touch on your new outfit.
>You spend a moment inspecting yourself and notice just how comfortable it really is.
>After taking a couple of swings, bending down, and lifting your knees up to your waist, you are pleased to find that you seem to suffer no impact on your agility.
>The gifts of the smith are unexpectedly agreeable, and Twilight comments on it with an endearing look on her face.
>”Just like a princess’s true knight.”
>Everything is the perfect fit and your companion’s delighted reaction is more than enough to convince you that this is indeed what you need, or at least until you notice that between the leg pads and the gambeson you have no room for your gun’s holster.
>You instantly point that out, ready to give up on the whole set if it meant leaving your revolver behind, but the minotaur is quick to stop you.
>”Don’t worry friend, I did keep your weapon in mind.
>”When it comes to a warrior’s tool of choice, it tends to go either on the back or on the hip. Us minotaurs tend to keep them on the back with the aid of a shoulder sheath, but you are keen to having yours by your side.
>>
>>27876080
>”By taking a look at your weapon and the means by which you carry it –yes, I have an eye for such things- I came up with an interesting new design that should fit perfectly with your armor while also taking advantage of your need for a quick draw.
>”To be honest, it is what took me the most time to figure out, but I think I did a great job and thus, I now give you this.”
>Forging Grip extends to you what you quickly recognize as a shoulder holster meant to be fastened across and around the chest, allowing the gun to rest on the left side of the abdomen, making for non-obstructive cross-draw carrying.
>Your father had one of these and his revolver still resides with in, strapped safely by its leather, rotting away at the bottom of a wardrobe.
>The minotaur hands you the holster with great care, as if it were an object of some sanctity, and looks you straight in the eye once you take it.
>”No warrior should face the wild without his trusty weapon.”
>He then goes to grab a black leather pouch for you to carry crisscross with the holster, and nods for you to put these last two on.
>It is invigorating to wear it all, to feel the familiar weight of the gun in such a new way while the armor hugs your body like a loving mistress, keeping you safe.
>You find strength and vigor in its embrace, unlike anything that you have ever tasted.
>Your fingers find the grip of your revolver and hold it tight, like a gladiator ready to face the arena.
>But it isn’t bloodlust that fills you, no, it is excitement.
>The minotaur sees this in your eyes, the flair of purpose that lights the soul of a warrior.
>He wonders how many years ago had he experienced the joy of battle, and wistfully remembers the day he refused to join his childhood friend as a monster hunter of the south.
>Twilight tilts her head to get a better look at your face and asks.
>”How do you feel?”
>Your answer is simple.
“Ready for a hunt.”

Bet they would be really puzzled if you told them about it.
I tend to go quiet every time I suddenly get an idea and my friends on Discord go crazy when I do because they know I stopped paying attention to them.
Might be kind of an asshole for doing so, but I always find it hilarious.

said, any form of statement is greatly appreciated and helps the writers to continue.

I used to hate writing, but have grown to appreciate it as a fun and relaxing way to express my shitty creativity. Keep up the good work guys!

I'm glad you guys liked the armor!
From the start I knew that a shirt and coat wasn't going to be appropriate for our hunter and plate armor like that of the equestrian guards would not fit with the character, so I tried to come up with something in between, something that a mercenary could wear everyday without feeling encumbered.
