There are many instances where something may be objectively good, or at the very least well made, but our own bias for or against it clouds our judgment and makes us see things diffrently than they are.
Just because you don't like the concept of something, doesn't mean that it's a bad concept that deserves to be derided as such. If you don't care for a certain type of content, then the simplest solution for everyone involved is to simply ignore it. Filters are a great way to do that.
