I don't hate Nyx, I just don't like it.
I had to go to my FimFiction in order to see how much I had read, I can barely remember it.
It's probably because of it's popularity so other stories were influenced by it, but it's so generic.
Like watching junk-food anime.
A formerly evil character turns evil again? Where have I seen that before? I'm not even talking about just in other pony fanfictions, it happens in generic movie and video game stories all the time too.
And in Past Sins, people praise Nyx and what she does, even when she doesn't even really do much. The reader is told why they should like a character when they should be shown why they should like a character.
Like I said, it's generic. It has about as much complex story in it as your average Newgrounds animation.
If I had to describe it in one word, it would be "Okay". It's not spectacular, it's "Okay".
Though I guess that for the time it was written, it was far better than most any other pone fanfic that existed at the time, I'll give it that.
