One of the first things that made me appreciate the show was when she starts singing in the pilot and everyone is like 'what the fuck why are you singing?' right as I was thinking it too
Obviously even in S1 other characters have songs and if you are going to have songs anyway you can't just have them restricted to one character. However I always thought it was only Pinkie who 'actually' sings as part of her character, rather than for our benefit or story purposes
