Fluttershy and celestia's personalities really seem like they'd have a great connection, y'know?
They're both individuals overseeing Weaker beings (Fluttershy with animals, celestia with mortal ponies) who are very motherly and have a soft streak inside them, but celestia has to force herself to be "hard" as a ruler.
I think the two would have a shit ton in common.

I think that Twilight, Fluttershy, AJ and even Dash would make for great ones, but I don't feel that ponk or Rarity would be good ones.
I do think Luna would work with rarity though.
That being said, I still think celestia and fluttershy would have the best chemistry IMO.

I overheard him talking to some chick he apparently knew at Motor City Comic Con and he openly stated that he didn't have any idea about the show and pretty much only draws what he's told to.

Cook and Price were there too and far more engaging and interesting to talk to.They were all nice enough people, though. Got a few signatures and a doodle from Price.

A lot of people really do, don't they? From my experience, this definitely showed when I saw Andy Price at New York Comic Con. Not that he was miserable, but it looked like he had that expression of a fake smile, while really being sick of everyone. And I've mentioned how I overheard he's getting sick of people asking him to draw their (as in the guest, no Price's) OCs in the comics. I then asked him how it was with Hasbro, whether they seemed pretty relaxed or what not, and the way he answered, he made it sound like they were always over his shoulder and he really didn't like it.
On the other hand, didn't get that from Cook, but another thing I noticed was she wasn't completely upfront about the pony stuff like all the other comic people in the row. She was much more focused on other things, rather than just having a big MLP banner. But you know I think that's a good thing, don't want to be recognized for one thing only.
its weird, given how IDW apparently views MLP as being so important to its comics; they were apparently trying to get the staff to do 3 ongoing comics and the staff had to tell them to fuck off a couple years ago from what I remember

I definitely got some of the same vibe from Price but I couldn't really tell if it were general exhaustion or not... Running those booths looks like hell.
But to me he still seemed to enjoy the characters and drawing them.
I mean, he even went as far to joke with me on my taste in horse when I asked for one of his 'Best pony' sketches on a blank variant I had.

Honestly given how important this is I really hope they just got Mike Vogel or Meghan McCarthy to write these. Given that GoH has some sort of animation going with it but the comics are coming first, I'd imagine that Hasbro is going to be incredibly specific about what they want.

So its kind of like was having a decent comic except someone forgot to give you the second half to it.
The dazzlings comic was outright shit (like WTF), and the nightmare moon one was pretty bad. (They SERIOUSLY need to strop trying to use this shitty "Nightmare moon is a completely Independent being from Luna that's keeping her trapped" bullshit, it completely ruins NMM and no one likes it)
