Tbh I'm a bit salty that The Gift of Maud Pie didn't have another Pie sister in Maud's stead. Not that I don't like Maud, but I think the episode would've been a lot more memorable if it fleshed out Panka's relationship to her other sisters. Also Maud was kinda really dull and not funny that ep.

Probably deep seated jealousy. Pinkie Pie moved out ages ago, and is also now essentially a knight along with being a close friend to a Princess. Maud is off the college to become a geologist. Marble was probably never going to make something of herself, but she's got a potential husband lined up she would move in with. She's has to stay behind and take care of her parents and the rock farm.
That's why she takes it so seriously. Because it's the only thing she has.

Some guy in the Marble thread was saying that 20 minutes of Limestone shouting wouldn't be interesting. However, I think that she was only so rustled because she wasn't happy with the Apple's presence. With just Pinkie and Rarity she wouldn't be such a bitch, and even if she was it would be cute/funny to see them trying to calm her as she becomes increasingly triggered
