How many of you found out about MLP without discovering the phenomenon? When I found out about ponies, it was through YouTube and I had no idea what was it about, I just grew interested the more I watched clips from KyrospawnI wonder what happened to himand YTPMVs then grew more and more interested in it. Lucky for me, S1 was on a Hiatus, I had time to catch up and see how the show was. When S2 arrived, I slowly got into the fandom and watched it grow from there to how it currently is now.
I started watching it in 2023, two years after the last season. I never heard of it before, and I'm honestly surprised, I think it's great even if it isn't in XHD. Too bad most YouTube channels have been taken down after the DMNPP approval, so I can't see any of the old fan videos, but at least I managed to get a copy of neoderpibooru3 from Hoolishare and the porn is awesome.

I started watching mlp in Sep 2015. But I was clopping as long as clopping was a thing. Didn't even know the characters names; just googled "mlp r34" for that sweet pony poon. What really got me interested in mlps lore was banned from equestria daily, in fact that's how I learned the names of the characters. I have since watched mlp religiously.

I started watching just as season 2 had started. I saw pony memes everywhere I went, and people were saying that the show was actually genuinely great. I thought it sounded weird, but I gave it a shot one day when I really should have been doing something else.
Started with the pilot, and was hooked shortly thereafter. The rest is history.
Not a very interesting story really, but I have nostalgic sentiments for it.

The only reason I ever saw it was because one day I was watching Transformers Prime and decided not to change the channel, ended up falling in love with it
My roommate found it somehow, told me to watch it. I didn't know anything about a fandom, and it was early 2011 so the fandom was still not that big anyway. What got me to watch was when my roommate told me it was made by Lauren Faust; I'm a huge Powerpuff Girls and Foster's fan, so I figured it was worth watching. Saw Winter Wrap-Up first, then went back and watched from the beginning.
A local meet-up was the first time I learned what the fandom was like. I'm not claiming to be the most normal person around, but these people were really weird, insisting we sing pony songs through Target while walking to the girls' toy aisle.
