Hello /mlp/. I am anonymous, just like the rest of you. And I have come to discuss something I believe is of great importance...what exactly are we doing here? What started out as a fandom filled with love, acceptance, and friendship, has turned into a cancerous mass of memes, porn, and insults. 4chan is where the fandom started, yet it is also where most of these things apply. From the, "I want to cum inside Rainbow Dash", to the porn of creators or the show, this fandom has gone way too far...while the creators might not say anything, I can imagine how disappointing in us they are. It's a cartoon guys. Why can't you take it as one? Think of the writers for once, who put time and love into making a wonderful show, just for it to get turned into trash by us. Think of the voice actors, who people call whores, or make porn of their ponysona's, or worse of themselves. Think of Lauren Faust, who made Friendship is Magic in the first place. She may not be here now, but she still is an important part of us. And mostly...think of Bonnie...the one who made MLP in the first place...please...take all this to heart. Cause it's still possible to make this fandom great again.

I can respect wishes for not hitting everything with rule 35. Conflicting with this, however, I feel that porn is still an avenue of artistic expression and is valid (even if it is unappealing to literally everyone).
I am very sure the show staff are disappointed to varying degrees to see all of the porn and the bad sides to the fandom. However, I am very sure that they have (and a few have said this themselves, too) acknowledged that this behavior is always to be expected of any fan base. Always following the acknowledgement, they practice their focus on the better sides of the fandom, just as any reasonable person who sees the value in this and any fandom would similarly do.
If they put in the effort to look beyond the fandom's many ill-qualities as a whole, there is no reason they cannot look beyond the ill-qualities of this board. Similarly, there is no reason they cannot put in the effort to find and appreciate the good things that have come out of this community.

I think we are all indulging in the creative outgrowths of the original show because we find value (entertainment, feels, laughs, some nostalgia here and there) in the works that other Anons have put forth.
There are a couple instances where this board has shit on the show staff, sometimes perhaps justified, others not a bit. I think of this board as a distillation unit that always brings out the best and the worst, not too much in the middle. When I think about the people who spew the worst, I think that their opinions just happen to be the most polarized and are to be expected to varying degrees anyway. When I think about the shitposting, I think that it's just an inability for them to contribute creatively or positively so the appealing option left is to shitpost.
I am confident that the vast majority of everyone here still appreciates the show and the work every staffer puts into it, unless one is of the fan-of-the-fandom types.
