That being said, that gun is pretty neat, aside from how the scope appears to be bolted on backward.

I was looking to get a 12 gauge coach gun, rough it up a bit, use an orange tinted wood and put a layer of clear lacquer over the wood and AJs cutie mark
Or the same gun, roughed up, with a leather ammo pouch on the side, with AJs cutie mark
I was also looking to recreate little Macintosh, but not shitty or cheap like the op
A Chrysalis based AR with holes in the stock and/or grip as well as a custom black and hive green paint job
Maybe a Fallout based nugget or .22lr using nothing but used parts i find online and at gun shows

The point I am trying to make is that preservation techniques drastically extend the expected presence of an object, biological or non. And as technology improves, there's no reason to believe that something cannot be preserved indefinitely.

The original idea of a scoped revolver was purely because you can't bring a rifle everywhere a revolver can go. even a larger colt 45 revolver is easier to transport than a small rifle with equal fire power.

It's an LCP Custom with a VR5 green laser sight. The blue flake metal frame and the rainbow slide are limited editions of only 500 of each produced. I basically bought 3 guns and intermixed all their parts. I had planned to also spray paint the lightning bolt from Dash's cutie mark on the trigger itself but decided to just leave the gun as a subtle tribute as opposed to 20% gayer than it already is.

Gun ignorant anon here, what's so special about this rifle?
>>
>>27398647
The Pedersen rifle was basically the M1 Garand's main competition for the United States Army's service rifle.

It holds a place in history as the first successful semi-automatic rifle.

It was (obviously) not adapted as the service rifle, for various reasons, mainly the unique ammo it required.

The gun was never produced on a massive scale and it is one of the rarest rifles a collector can buy.
>>
>>27398676
So it's special because it's worse than the M1 and was a failure? Wow, sounds really special.

It's a prototype rifle that went head to head with the M1 Garand and Johnson rifle for which would be the main infantry rifle adopted by the US army.
As such, it is an extremely rare rifle that was a significant piece of US firearms history.

>Worse than M1 and was a failure

Actually it was rated as the most likely candidate for adoption for a long-ass time. It wasn't until John Garand got his shit together and made a .30-'06 rifle that the Army board changed their minds.

It's important to history because it raised the bar for weapon designs and showed that a semiautomatic combat rifle was something you could make.

>>27398728 With all due respect to the Mondragon.
