Fact number 1: pony is a very successful advertising campaign that still works, you don't can successful advertising campaigns.
Fact number 2: pony is incredibly cheap to make. DHX get funding from the Canadian government and they outsource tedious shit to south east asia for dirt cheap so cost isn't even a factor.
Fact number 3: declining views don't mean shit to Hasbro, the staff have made perfectly clear. Pony does incredibly well for what it is anyway. They never expected the kind of views they get now for a girls show.

Hub was just more fun for one thing...it had fun promos and the overall fun feeling of a kids network, on top of playing way more cartoons (in terms of variety, the time is still the same...5am to 5pm), the non cartoon shows were generally better even if still sucky...lots of reruns of 90s nostalgia sitcoms and crap like Goosebumps
Discovery Family mainly only plays MLP and LPS, with TF in the earlier morning...and the whole network has a very "sterile" feel, it's bland and the non toon programming is like who gives a fuck crap reality tv like Cake Boss etc and stupid clip shows

I remember when the rebranding first started...they played Jesus, dinosaur, and nature documentaries....so fucking awkward to watch MLP and LPS then have it switch to that shit, even if it's interesting programming it just felt WEIRD.

These are the only two things I grabbed, but we got TONS of S1 posters of all kinds and sizes, a few boxes of those Hub bags, a few boxes of plastic water bottles, ungodly amounts of lanyards, a small stack of posters that just had the Hub logo on them, and a few boxes of those cheap rubber wrist bands. The shitty part is that we didn't get half of it until the Monday after the convention ended. It's cluttering up the storage unit that's already a big fucking mess.
The only thing that's notable is that it was all branded with the Hub logo. It could have just been them dumping old stock on us, but I'd like to believe it means something because of all the promotional material we COULD have gotten that we didn't.

The revenue decreased overall decreased, because EqG isn't selling as much (probably because there aren't any new toys but I don't give nearly enough of fucks to know about that), so while Pony increased in revenue, the EqG brand maturing and going past the initial boom lowered the net revenue. There's no loss and no bringing the franchise down.
