It was pretty decent in my opinion. Plushies were very few and between, and were either "meh" or "I ain't paying that much for that shit".
There was ton of other stuff, like key holders, badges, stickers, stamps, posters, mugs, doujins, cards, a lil bit of pretty high quality figurines, some commissions - art, and weird stuff involving working with glass and metal.

I don't quite know, but there was around 370 visitors this time, which is a bit of a let down compared to the previous one.

Very comfy, nice and smoothly. There was one unexpected problem on the day one though - one person got seizures during the DJ night.

Well it turns out they do like their show in Japanese actually. they love Rarity screaming "TAXIII" a lot, they are easily amused by fur suits and there are some cosplayers who don't cosplay on a daily basis with animes and stuff anymore, but still cosplay horses. Which I find to be really nice.

Well, according to Final Draft who've been to more cons than I've been to (which is a one-digit number of digit "one" now) - it was easily among the "much better" ones. It was pretty small compared to what you get in US or Europe, but it was amusing, things were running on schedule, people brought light sticks to the DJ part and so on.
He also ranted about "you can't take photos without asking for a permission" but he's an idiot, because no one gives a fuck.

I played it once. I have two opinions on it:
1) From a standpoint of a finished game it still has a looooong road to go, as even inside the limited pool of three characters (plus "Princess Rising Sun" for Japan Ponicon) you can't do much. You have a dash, jump, three hit combo on the ground, one hit move in the air and three active skills with cooldowns. Game is pretty hard in a sense that you can't put a lot of skill in there, because everything can hit you, all missiles that enemy shoots are following you and your CC is shit.
2) As a fan product, however - it is very, very decent. Most of the actual development process is done by a single man, and it have gone from "Twilight chases Smarty Pants that you drag over the screen" to what you can see now in year in a half. It is pretty damn impressive.
Also, it seems it isn't going to be the usual beat'em'up as I though. Helements intends to add more RPG stuff to it. Skill trees, more explicit classes and stuff.
The horse in development is Fluttrshy. She'll be the healer.
Voice actors are pretty good.

On fan-animations front it indeed was pretty dead, as there was no such panel.
There was a (presumably) SFM-animated intro for the opening ceremony, it was pretty decent. There also was an Oculus Rift (or something similar - I can't distinguish them) "game" where you supposed to sort two kinds of apples by manually pushing them from a conveyor into two buckets, while a pony of your preference watches over you and does absolutely nothing.

I am not sure if you are talking about western or japanese conventions. TGS asks you not to film and check if a particular panel has its own restrictions about taking photos, but there were no such panels and no one gave a flying fuck when they were caught in a photo, despite you are supposed to ask the permission. On Comiket there are the same rules and, again, no one gives a fuck, because it is literally impossible to take a photo on Comiket without getting around a hundred of random people caught in the photo.
There are rules, and they write the down, but unless you start doing something they explicitly asked you not to do (like taking a photo in an actual no-photo zone) - I think almost no one will care about what you are doing. Well, it never hurts to ask for a permission, of course - especially if you want a cosplayer to smile at you.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could say that to Horse News. They seem to promote the idea that a massive ton of people in EFN are just people you want to stay away from. Final Draft and EFN wanted to block anyone who uses /mlp/ from ever being able to interact with show staff. They tried to barr all other media from covering conventions with their infamous "exclusivity contract". Draft talked down to Lauren Faust for her decision to visit /mlp/ saying it was "not an appropriate venue". Osaka Jack blocks anyone who disagrees with him, and has a robot set to block anyone who interacts with HN on twitter. FD and OJ both got pissed off at people for pirating the brony documentaries, but then got caught DISTRIBUTING, on their own EFN servers, stolen Pirate Bay copies of Adobe Creative Suite software. Draft is notoriously an asshole to even his own friends, he even flipped his shit at DustyKat when he held a party at BABScon, after FD was ejected.

I assume most basic dragon suits are just modified zentai suits (like that of Pink Guy if you didn't know) with padding in the right places and a tail. I've never made one myself so my assumption could be completely off course, but that's what it looks like to me.
On the Final Draft bit, I used to watch ACRaceBest's con vlogs and never really got a dickish vibe from Mike. He seemed all right, minus all of the BS coming from his convention streaming guidelines and such. He's just another human, I don't know.
