Actually it has. Being socially awkward as a child, and not knowing much about friendship, it taught me many things that i never learned growing up. It also refreshed my memories on what it means to be a good friend.
You guys can call me a faggot all you want, but sometimes the most basic and simple of lessons friendship can have the biggest impact and have the longest lasting effect on how you treat others as well as yourself.

In a way, yes. By wanting to improve myself in a way my waifu would approve of, it's lead to me being more appealing to my current friends, and being nicer to people I don't know. Of course, I'm still bitter and socially anxious, but I've definitely been trying a lot harder to overcome that.

Well...in a couple ways. When I first got into the show I was in a severe depression and it pretty much single handedly brought me out of it by giving me something positive to focus on, in doing so it made me a much happier and in turn a NICER and more empathic person to others in general
In another way, it's helped me make friends in the sense of meeting people based on common interest in the show and allowing me to connect more to other people I already knew who were into it

Started going to an MlP CCG night at a local game store a couple years back. Awkward as fuck at first, but then I got to know the folks there. Most weren't the super autistic brony type, so we got along well.
After the card game started to die, we decided to just hang out outside of that context. Have regular movie nights, bar crawls, and DnD campaigns now. Overall, it's a solid group of friends that all started over ponies

One of my best friend was a fan of the show, just like me.
We were playing garry's mod at that time, on some shitty server, laughing at kiddies trying to git gud on this shit game. One guy began to insult me 'cuz of twalot spergle picture. He fucking defended me and we both fucked him up so hard with our skillz it was awesome.
Now, we now each other IRL (he was actually my neighbor), do lan and shit on some games, play dungeon and dragon, and stuff like that.

The brony meetups back for the end of S1 as well as S2 and S3 meetups? Yes. Twice a month meet up at a pool hall and play for a few hours, 3 of us are in the same billiards league and have been for two years. 2 others joined my D&D group. I did make friends after starting watching the show either by coincidence or as previously stated. I hear this a lot, not this specific scenario, but people who end up stuck forever in this autistic fandom usually begin watching at the perfect time for it in their lives. For me, I didnt really have friends like I do now, life was kinda repetitive, and I was a socially awkward fuck back then. MLP was the perfect escape for me.
Not the show directly, I never got any use of the friendship lessons (and still no friends)
But at least I get to socially interact with people at brony meetups. There are people I meet over and over. We never get any real friendships, but it's people I can meet sometimes and have fun with in groups.

It actually has. Though not through its concepts and more through its content. All of my close friends from high school had moved away a few years back for one reason or another.
Shortly after that I started doing pony conventions and while at them made friends with several horsefuckers.
Thankfully a lot of them just happen to live nearby so at times we chill outside of conventions.
