That suggestion was exactly why Hasbro ditched Sony and decided to make their pony movie by themselves.
As in the creative differences of Sony wanting it to be Smurf Movie 2 and Hasbro wanting it to be an actual MLP FiM movie is why Hasbro is now making it independently.
