Some people can explain it better than me. The funny thing is that most "fans" of other shows want their own board as well. The one I could think of is the Zootopia general threads on /co/. And yes they are generals now because the same number of posters coming in and they don't allow discussion of the movie anymore. The fact of the matter is, MLPG tends to discuss the show or canon characters much more than any other thread on this board and the majority of the people there are anons like you and me, just like it was back in 2010/2011 when it was the only real thread about MLP on this site and created the culture /mlp/ would end up adopting for good.
