Problem is whether or not it'll be any good. Last year when there was no BUCK there were two conventions to replace it. One had 4 vendors and cancelled multiple panels without any notice and the other cancelled the whole convention a month before it started. Conventions might replace BUCK, but they might not come close to how well organised and arranged BUCK is.

Britfag here who never went because they insist on holding it in fucking Manchester every year. Would have been nice to move it around country... Bongland isn't like the USA where you guys happily do three day roadtrips to go to stuff. It's as expensive as fuck to travel and hotel it.

Manchester is easy to get to, and it's cheap too. I have a 2 hour long train and it's only cost me £10 each way.
If you're in the far south of England, or just within london, then it's a little expensive, but oh well. Manchester is practically in the middle of England, and has it's own airport.
Anything below Manchester is where it starts getting insanely priced for flights and trains, since you get closer to London.
As for hotels, yes, they are fucking expensive as shit, but AirBNB works pretty good, I've only paid £45 for the weekend in a good rated room (was around £90 total for me and my BF for 2 nights, 10 minutes from EventCity too)

I think it's easier to travel to Galacon from the US. Most people coming to BUCK from the US are traveling to Amsterdam and then getting another plane to Manchester bit to Galacon, you can travel to Amsterdam and then catch a train to Germany.
