The Fan Series is related to previous episodes of the show, not new GoH stuff.
This is really a huge change (and I mean HUGE change) from Hasbro.
Imagine this: for years, they've threated MLP as a "girls only" franchise, releasing toys as such, but the adult fanbase now its so great and so big, that they have no choice than to release an ADULT lineup of brand-new toys

It's actually pretty troubling because when an investor asked where these toys would be sold, if they would be sold in the girl's aisle or what, Hasbro's CEO just went off track and basically said "we're working on it, also online sales."

That's actually a fantastic figure, especially if it's directly from Hasbro considering their ayy lmao quality of toys for the first 5 years of FiM.
In addition, I'm curious if it has any articulation. From the OP, it doesn't look like it, which means Hasbro is trying to market medium sized, non-articulating toys to kids, which is basically just a figurine to look at.

"Fan Series" is a subtitle for GoH that is based upon scenes from FiM, they said this. The other stuff is inspired by scenes but probably also relates to new stuff.

All the Mane Six are probably going to be a part of the main GoH line, which means action features and more articulation. Fan Series has less articulation but is more detailed.
