On the other hand it's true that there aren't hasn't been enough light-hearted quests for a while. But I think it's gotten better, a lot of CYOAs tend to include more comedy and less edge.

And that was the only time I could count on the thread actually talking about the show, making up theories, waifuing background characters like /co/ usually likes to do, and actually talking about the world. Even then it was only like 1/5th of the thread occasionally. On /mlp/ it's a once in a blue moon thing
The main problem with /mlp/ is it's entire conception. The show really doesn't have that much to it. Hell it's not like MLP really is a multi-media brand like Pokemon that would give us a decent amount of content to fill the board like /vp/. That's part of the reason people were hyped for the comics, give stuff to talk about during the off season. Of course they turned so shit they are only worth a single thread of bitching. The only thing we can rely on to fill the empty void of the board that isn't shit posting is fan made content.
