I can't be the only one who's disappointed about Glimmer not appearing in the preview we saw. Notjustbecause I wanted her to be a 'mane' character but because that final scene in the season 5 finale - especially the image in the OP - seemed like it existed so they didn't have to do episodes in season 6 that consisted of "Starlight spends time with Fluttershy this week!" or "Starlight spends time with Rarity this week!" so they could get right into Starlight being a part of the main cast. Further more, why else would you redeem Starlight? Why would you not just defeat her like every other villain? Thing is they've alreayd pushed the existing characters to their arc ends. Twilight is princess of friendship, Dash is close too being a real Wonderbolt, Rarity is a successful fashion designer with a second store in Canterlot.
Pinkie, Fluttershy and AJ never had goals like that to begin with, but they're running out of ways to do "Fluttershy learns to be more assertive" episodes.
