Anarchy is the poor teenager's libertarianism. Any edgy kid upset with the establishment will tell you total lack of government is the only good system. Anyone with a fully functioning mind can tell you the best government is a small government, but a government none the less.

It goes back to when the pigment was rare and made from sea snails, so only Royalty could afford it.
Red is the typical colour of the anarchist symbol and was the cheapest pigment that filthy commoners with no property to protect could aford.

Thank you, you are correct. I was thinking of the anarchists associated with Chicago's haymarket affair. They were said to carry purple flags during their mayday march, perhaps because it was a royal color, and served as a symbolic protest.
I was under the impression that purple was historically associated with the anarchist movement of late 19th century America, however I may be incorrect.
