you have organs that allow you to perceive light refracted off of objects and interpret it as sight; a sight which is pleasing to other organs.

Yes.

Something about human psychology and certain details in the designs of their faces and a few other things.

There a caps of posts around that explain it.
I recently lost them all thanks to my computer breaking down.

There are no non-anthropomorphic MLP ponies. They are ALL very human-like. Which explains why humans find them attractive. Because they look like humans.

Body-wise, mlponies are undeniably horses. You'd have to be a retard to mistake them for another kind of creature.

But things like their facial expressions and behaviours are VERY human.

So you end up with horses that are weirdly appealing.

>>
>>25987389

Sorry, but evolution by natural selection dictates that zoophilia, pedophilia, and homosexuality cannot be inherited genetically, and are therefore environmentally caused. Homosexuality can be caused by hormones in the womb or developed as a conditioned fetish, and the other two are conditioned fetishes.

You were not born sexually attracted to animals. You learned this behavior somehow.
>>
>>25987445
>You learned this behavior somehow.
considering none of my family are and ive been this way since i was about 8, id say you dont choose your fetishes.
i dont think its genetic, its just different kinds of kinks. i dont know why you even brought that up.

>all genes are on 100% at all times and are perfectly replicated

Or, someone randomly mutated zoophilia. Or, zoophilia was a side effect of some previous change and was surpressed in previous generations through epigenetics.

Or all of them are zoofuckers and no one's actually said it/thought about it seriously enough to realize it.

>>25987445
>Sorry, but evolution by natural selection dictates that zoophilia, pedophilia, and homosexuality cannot be inherited genetically

Actually this is mostly untrue. Natural selection places high pressures against zoophilia, pedophilia, and homosexuality (ZPH) to remove them from populations as they are highly unfavorable traits that negatively contribute to an individual's fitness.

However, despite the selective pressure to remove ZPH from the population, there are many other factors, one most notable is the population growth rate of humans being so high because humans have so many fucking babies each generation. The population growth rate of humans being so high results in selective pressures being unable to remove ZPH from the populations simply because there are more humans created that carry the ZPH traits than there are removed in each generation. If continued as currently, over time, this will result in ZPH never being eradicated and potentially increasing in relative frequency.

To answer OP, your brain is wired in an interesting way to respond to very specific stimuli. I cannot explain how your brain became so fucked up that it sends blood rushing to your dick at the sight of ponuts, but I can say that it is a massive synergism of chemicals that make you feel pleasure (as manifested in said blood rushing to said dick), all in response to your retinas being bombarded by countless photons of light that cause a reaction cascade that build up your neurons enough to fire which then causes other neurons to fire and the eventual release of chemicals that make you feel pleasure.

Citation needed.
The Kinsey reports show that the majority of cases of zoophilia are situational, that is, a man finds himself alone with an animal and without any woman nearby. However, once the subject moved to the city, all the desires towards animals disappeared, and many later expressed guilt over what they did and felt anxious about someone finding out and ruining their career. Considering that the cases were few, it can be sated that zoophilia is not hereditary, otherwise there would have been a pattern in the family, but none had been discovered.
In conclusion, zoophilia - in fact all kind of paraphilias - are the result either of faulty sexual conditioning, or - in cases of situational homosexuality and zoophilia - a transitory phase due to lack of human females.
And if you think that natural selection places high pressures against homosexuality, you just don't know how widespread homosexuality is amongst animals.
>>
>>25985997
It's the colors obviously.
The colors are doing something to our brains.
The plot too.
>>
>>25989285
>Citation needed.
Citation is from my evolution class lol. I just considered the posed situation in terms of fitness consequences, selective pressure, and potential opposing factors that could maintain or possibly increase the presence of some unbeneficial trait.

>natural selection places high pressures against homosexuality...
As I said, the strength of the selection may be strong but the effects can be easily masked if there is a huge effective population size that reproduces too fast for homosexuality to be selectively removed.

On a different note, I would love to carry on this conversation but I have noted that it was increasingly difficult to compose this message on the little quality sleep I managed to get last night (coupled with jerb at 9 in the morning and having the always lovely opportunity to deal with too many high-expectation clients) and has resulted in me repeating myself a few times somewhere.

>The Kinsey reports show...
One can never simply conclude based off any single test/report/experiment (whether they be the Kinsey reports or any psychologically- or sociologically-based report for that matter) how anything works. There needs to be mountains of data to even consider consensual understanding to be relatively certain on anything. In a situation like this, while such experimental data that investigates rates of zoophilia and situational circumstances from a more sociological perspective (which I still found to be fascinating) is certainly useful to have, in order to determine whether zoophilia is genetically linked, I strongly feel that we need to focus more on genetic-environmental interactions and evaluate how the environment influences genetic expression in many, many individuals who have feelings of zoophilia as well as many, many individuals who do not share these feelings. Works such as the Kinsey report does not properly address genetic understanding of how deviancy could occur and thus cannot be used in conjunction with a simple "oh, it doesn't show up in the family pedigree" to conclude there is absolutely no genetic basis for zoophilia. Works such as these only look at the individual's sociological circumstance with a superficial analysis for manifested traits. The works do not analyze the effects of the environment on the individual's genetic expression that could result in zoophilia manifesting itself or remaining dormant in the individual. That individual can remain a carrier their entire life and never express the trait.

Thank you for the conversation, evolution is a really fun topic but certainly not my cup of tea (I'm studying chemical ecology in college woohoo!), it was a pleasure, anon!

>majority are situational
guess im in the minority. i gave up what was undoubtedly a loving gf and promising wife because i prefer animals. i wont lie, it bothers me when brilliant men come along and try to tell me what i am when they havent the slightest clue.

are you trying to tell me all fetishes are conditioned and revolve around interacting with the opposite sex?
>>
>>25989793
to add to this, when you begin drawing conclusions based on such limited data, its inherently going to be flawed. i could perform a small study and give everyone orange juice and see how many develop cancer in the next year, then draw a conclusion that orange juice prevents cancer based on this study. thats obviously not true, but the data supports my theory.

you cant attempt to link unrelated facts to support your theories. well if its not a lack of females, maybe it was child rearing, diet, etc etc. people will go until they find something outside what is considered "normal" and falsely link that as a cause.
