Not only this, but if Twilight wasn't so fucking salty over not being able to understand Pinkie's sense powers, she would have been able to at least quantify it through the rules Pinkie blatantly told her about.
She ran experiments while ignoring that logic behind Pinkie's powers being literally thrown in her face. She completely ignores the ear-flip, tail twitch combinations in favor of soap-boxing and being a pompous asshole.
All the fedora-tippers who hate FPK seem to forget that Twilight began to actively want Pinkie Pie to be proven wrong just so she could be right, ignoring scientific objectivity in favor of having her ego stroked. If she had remained level-headed throughout the episode and took things as they were, I could understand people's complaints.
As it stands now, the episode is mostly about not being a douchebag when you can't explain shit, not that you SHOULDN'T try to explain things.
