It's written for comedy or masturbation. If you wrote a fic about Dash wanting to fuck Soarin, it could easily devolve into people saying "well Soarin wouldn't say X" or "Soarin is too old for her." Anon can have any characteristic you can think of without violating some kind of canon. Greentexts about Anon can easily suck, but they don't have to. Anon is a means to an end.

It irritates me when people say this, because I've written these two greens that I worked on for months in pre-writing, doing my absolute best to make the characters feel like actual characters, and I made sure to make a realistic Anon (while still being Anon, of course) as well as I could. True my other greens are shit (have you written Godzilla raping a giant Twilight in the middle of Canterlot? It was weird), but these two greens that I wrote were so special to me, and were not just some silly green. They were stories of two characters struggling with there inner emotions. Of course, smut was always at the end, but it wasn't about the smut. It's about the emotions they feel and how they deal with them.
As of now, I've been writing a "hypothetical" tv film special of My Little Pony that focuses on rape and molestation, and how these characters from this world of magic and friendship deal with something that's as grounded as that as a friendship problem. Yes, this means I'm writing a screenplay, and I'm really fucking into it. There is truth that a lot of writefags suck, but I've tried so damn hard to make those two the greatest greens I could. I don't even know why I'm writing this anymore. I guess I just kind of wanted to say that, "Hey, I tried, yet I have no idea if it's truly good."

I really hate to pull this card, but most people here are perfectly fine with that and as a result, the good stuff is going to just be rare because of what gets a pass with us. You want to put a dent in that, you're just going to have to step up and give it a shot.
