/mlp/ was never nsfw, it was never red, and unfortunately, never will be, the first year or so /mlp/ was poorly moderated like every new board is for the first year, it was coincidentally better moderated after Faust's visit. She didn't cause it but a little while after she left it started to be.

Either way, my point is that porn was never really allowed, it was that new boards are generally poorly moderated for the first year. Take any of the more recent blue boards, I assure you the first year or so they were filled with both on topic and off topic porn, but then as the proper amount of moderators for the board was gathered, the porn threads became less, and less frequent. Are the mods perfect? No, but what do you expect from a shit hole like this? As >>25861028 makes mention to, we still have porn threads(not that I'm complaining), but not as much as we did from this board's creation to about mid 2013. If this site had more revenue it would be possible for hiro or someone else to hire better moderators but for the time being we have the best we can get.

Nope a sticky went up three weeks before her visit restating rules that were being broken and that they would be enforced more strictly. Random threads were starting to get deleted such as the Massive Pony thread I was lurking at the time. This was all independent of the Faust visit and only then came to a headway a couple weeks after. This can all be checked in the archive if you don't believe me. But can remember plain as day the MMP thread getting shafted at random two weeks before the visit.
The janitors were coming down on us whether or not she visited. We've been given a nice compromise with the trash board since no board has or will ever "turn red" overnight. Yep, that's all this board is and has been, especially during hiatus times. You do realize they delete generals for shows in hiatus on /co/ for a reason, right? If we were to lose the fetish/porn/self insert/writefag generals, this place would be slow enough to move back to /co/ during non-hiatus times. You don't have to say it. You and everyone else who complains about what /mlp/ has become thinks they know what this board was actually like, and what it's actually about. Let me tell you something after talking to hundreds of Anons here: everyone has a slightly different idea of what /mlp/ was, and what it should be. This isn't something that's rooted in arrogance, it's rooted in ignorance. We all have our biases, and if we talk to enough people who share the same bias, we become blind to it. You can't bring back the past, except going through the archives, and even if everything went back to exactly as it were before, people would still complain and act like it wasn't because it's not filtered through their nostalgia goggles. The more people complain and bitch, the worse it's going to get. All it's going to do is create a board where it's acceptable to shit on everything new because it's new, regardless if it's in the spirit of the board. If you want my honest opinion, this attitude that /mlp/ isn't as enjoyable as it used to be, or that it can't be is worse for the board than any change in content.
I'm not going to say you can't dislike this board, or even the content here. There's a lot of shit here that I think is fucking retarded. The only difference is that I stopped with the "/mlp/ isn't as good as it used to be" attitude. I started coming here to enjoy myself, rather than get fixated on the specific content I really liked, and guess what? I'm enjoying things here again.
Since the board is blue, it may be more tolerated in professional settings. I'd much rather browse a blue board at work than a red one. I believe this reason alone should be enough to warrant no further changes to the boards status. If the owners and moderators of this website were not so bigoted, 4chan would already have a board specifically for furry/anthro/clop pornography. The interest in such a board has been apparent and high for a number of years, and it's lack of inclusion is a little baffling to me. /trash/ is a sufficient solution for now though, so I really can't complain, at least there is something. Perhaps if traffic and posts are really high regarding this porn, eventually a new board will be created.
