In an argument, they like to see the pattern in which a post is written in and they try to guess who it is and judge that post based on that person. It's fucked up. The kind of memories I want to make.
You know what the real problem is? People adopted what became the popular culture and started taking this website seriously. 4chan use to just be about having dumb fun sharing hobbies and interests with fellow basement dwelling weirdos and turbonerds before becoming more and more about pushing agendas and upholding some psuedo-reputation for meaningless internet points. People started caring more about upholding these traditional ideologies and less about actually having fun.
Opinions about them aside more of the people who come here to visit a general or two fall in line with the spirit of 4chan better than the vast majority of people who hate generals for going against culture, simply because they come here to share content, discussion, and have "fun" with like-minded people.
This website isn't "fun" anymore because more of the users don't want it to be about fun, but rather that everybody fit in to their standards of using the site.

Well yeah, some of that falls in line with the problem I outlined about parts of the userbase using the site to push agendas and others falling into those trappings just because to them it's fun. It follows their established culture to instigate drama, instead of coming to the cartoon horse board to talk about the cartoon or anything remotely related to it.
I would like to see this site be about genuine fun again. Unfortunately most people are held up on maintaining other standards and the popular thing to do is do what's popular.

A lot of the older fags and non4chan ponyfans have left for other fandoms or from tedium, other oldfags simply grew tired of /mlp/'s culture, and every now and then we have some meta threads that complains about either prompt threads for sex, bump-central generals, trying to advertise other pony sites or simply venting at the show and its related series and knock offs (EG, Filly Funtasia).

I like actually really enjoy discussing the show and the few fun threads that pop up. I don't care about the fanfiction/roleplaying/fetish threads that fill a lot of the board, and discussion is pretty sparse, so I mostly check this place out of habit anymore. Hiatus is fucking dreadful because of that, but I'm just glad I still actually love the show after all these years. I just wish the majority of this board's entertainment for most people wasn't just greentext.
