I donated some good clothes I no longer use to the homeless, I saw a post on Facebook about gathering clothes for the homeless this winter, and I volunteer to distribute the clothes, I don’t know why since I was a kid the homeless made me feel so sad, this is the second year I give some of my good clothes I no longer used to the homeless, I like doing it, but I wish they stop abusing drugs and alcohol, it’s saddening to watch them intoxicated, and their life stories are even sadder.

Donating clothes does jack shit for their situation. Most homeless (in first world countries) aren't dying of exposure to the elements. It would be better for you to donate those clothes to some thrift store that uses the proceeds to buy food & such for the poor.

Clothes and food are good, they appreciate it, I am not from the US, but winter here is very mild where I live, we get maximum of 19º - 20º and low of 5º - 8º but others people donated canned food, some paramedics and doctors volunteer to do a medical check up, clean and heal wounds, I volunteer to sort the clothes and distribute them, it was all I could do, better than doing nothing or giving them money, there is not much you can do anyway, they have the most difficult task, seek out help and try to stay sober.
