Antagonists don't have to be all about brute strength. The way I see OP's seceniro playing out is AJ stealing some important artifact from Canterlot that a villian asked for in exchange for her parents. The mane 5 would chase her across Equestria, AJ would use her knowledge of her friends and thier emotions against them.
