It is. I don't think any other cartoon has influenced me as much as MLP.
There are better shows, but mlp is my favorite probably because it's the only one I've been interested in enough to actively watch as it's been airing and also rewatch for fun. Been on the ride for almost 5 years so it makes the show all that much sweeter.

I enjoy many cartoons, each one my favorite in its own way. I don't give an action movie a 10/10 for the same reason I gave a comedy movie a 10/10. Every show I watch gives me something the other shows I watch can't offer. They are all the best in their own way.

I like MLP because it's pleasant. It doesn't dig itself into modern social issues, the characters are charming, and god damnit they are adorable pastel colored horses.

DHX only keep it clean and simple just because showrunners are pretty much oldfags who stuck in the 90's. You can see it in the fact that they still make fun of "guy in a dress" jokes or make cliche plots with rednecks like in old Hanna Barbera cartoons.
