>anons think Anon In Equestria is still original
>>25719289
that's exactly why so many variants exist, to avoid rehashing the same story. It still happens a lot, though.
>>25719312
Remember when AiE was one thread?
>>25719323
remember when AiE was good?
>>25719289
Anon in Equestria ISN'T ORIGINAL!?
>>25719363
AiE was never good.
>>25720292
Yeah, AiEG is top tier.
>>25719289
>2015
>Anonymous still complains that Anonymous is banging his waifu and still refuses to write his on self insert pony OC to bang his waifu for him.
Sounds like you're still getting c-ucked either way desu baka senpai
>>25719312
>>25719323
Y'know, it's funny because AiE occasionally complains about being dead yet only because their oldfags stopped writing. Nobody wants to write in their thread because:
>A
They STILL circlejerk over established writefags, despite it being a detriment to new writers trying to get established, and
>B
Everyone and their mother is a writefag these days, and most of thempretty much all of them if you ever notice every one asks if they should continue to "gauge interest"do it for attention first and foremost, hence why they opt to have one whole thread more to themselves rather than contribute to an existing thread or general.
Boy was it an issue last hiatus when there were 40 or so active prompt threads constantly being bumped for ONE writefag who only updated once every 24 hours with a handful of posts.
>>25720427
Whats wrong with asking if people want more?
Jesus, you act like writefags write for their health. So what if they want an audience?
I've seen plenty of threads where a writer just started writing and no one seemed to be interested or even care. even when they finished it no one commented.
seems like a waste of time when no one gives a shit.
>>25720427
To be fair writefagging for attention is literally the only reason why anyone would writefag. There's nothing wrong with that.
>>25720483
This, writing for an empty thread is just unsatisfying and not fun.
>>25719289
>thinking it ever was
>>25720472
>>25720483
That's their prerogative, but I don't do it for attention; I write because it's fun. In fact my favorite project to write had one of the lowest views in my pastebin. I use to write stories for myself when I was younger though, so I guess not everybody would have the same approach to it.
>>25720531
And there's the difference between a born writer and someone who can write.
A born writer loves to create using words
A writer can write, but they don't do it for the act of writing, they do it for an outside reason.
one is passion, the other is not.
>>25719289
>Thinking anon cares whether their escapist horse-fucking fantasies are original when there are escapist horse-fucking fantasies to masturbate to.
>>25719289
>Original
>Fanfiction
Pick one.
>There are anons that get genuinely angry when a new greentext of any kind doesn't devolve into Anon fucking something, no matter how unrelated it is
>There are anons that will derail a show discussion thread to demand greentext of an AiE
>There are anons who will keep posting prompt threads in hopes that they can get their next "based" writefag to write for their fetish
>It's another AiE thread
>(X) is tsundere
>>25720755
I played that game and got rid of it after 10 minutes. No idea why it blew up the way it did.
You can just make a half-assed AiE prompt and Anons will eat it up.
>>25720709
Honestly, what else do you do?
you have a discussion thread, and everything has been talked about within the first 30 posts.
you act like there is another way.
>>25720784
I don't know, anon.
Some people call it the best indie game ever, and while I'm not sure if I agree with that, I enjoyed it enough to play through it.3 times.
Different people like different things.
>>25720805
I mean more of the anger part of it. Or when they interrupt a discussion that keeps going on. It doesn't end in 30 posts most of the time.
>>25720818
No argument there. Game didn't appeal to me so I didn't play any further, but people like what they like.
As far as indie games go though, I enjoyed the hell out of Shovel Knight. Wish video games would drop all this AAA bs and go back to being simple fun like in the 8 bit days.
>>25720827
getting upset about no green is and derailing because no greens is annoying, and that shit needs to stop, and any anon who agrees should shit on any autist who cries and whines.
but there's nothing really wrong with prompt threads.
I hate to ask the obvious question here, but have you tried ignoring the auspie that keeps asking for green?
>>25720861
Sometimes I shitpost in prompt threads or "deliver" with a joking green that details the OP.
>>25720834
I haven't played shovel knight yet, but I'm sure I will at some point.
Honestly the amount of people who think games need to be some deep, psychological journey 100% of the time baffles me.
It's like that one short film that's literally four minutes of the same shot of stairs. There were convoluted theories everywhere about it, basically people grasping at straws to find SOME semblance of meaning, when, in reality, it's just a video of fucking stairs.
>>25720871
I used to do that, then people would ask for more. it was weird.
Simply, ban AiE. No humans in Equestria, not show related.
This board would get so much better if that crappy would be banned. Then we could have nice ponyxpony again.
>>25720872
Never heard about that, but sounds fucking weird nonetheless.
>>25720911
I would love to try that. And if board activity were to dwindle down to /pone/ levels, we delete the board! What do you think? Also, let's ban any sort of fanfic because as you said it's not show related. All the milk threads and double get threads are banned. In fact we should ban anything that isn't show discussion. THAT will save /mlp/!
In case you can't tell that's sarcasm, go get fucked.
>>25720911
The board is barely alive the only thing keeping this board alive is japmoot not deleting it causing some shitflinging to other boards and fetish generals
>>25721035
>>25721048
Keep on whining for your shitty self insert.
>>25721067
I could say the same to you.
>>25719289
New idea... What if Starlight Glimmer was just a cannon Anon In equestria? Eh.. Eh?
>>25719289
>2015
>anon's still like what I don't like
>Anons who viciously defend AiE/AiEG pretend that without anon the story would without doubt involve some OC who was basically anon, the idea of using purely canon characters seems like some kind of alien concept to them
>>25721255
Sounds like Starlight am I right?Come on guys.. I cant be the only one that think shes an oc character
I enjoy AiE green and often use Anon as a self insert for myself as a form of escapismI'm not sorry
>>25720818STUFFET THE MUFFET
Does it count as AIE if you never use the word anon or anonymous, and just have the ponies refer to him/her as the human or other generalized titles?
>>25722235
>literally an anonymous person
>"does it count as anonymous?"
>>25720818
Excellent character development, unique personalities, amazing soundtrack, memorable moments, heartwarming dialogueseither pacifist or genocide run, gameplay and storyline don't contradict each other, etc, etc...
Amazing game tho
>>25721351
Thats what most greens are nowadays.
I think its time to go back to organic pony only greens. No anons.
>>25722253
A lot of the stories actually use the name Anon for the protagonist, and even describe him physically as green and wearing a suit.
I'd honestly prefer an unspecified human to anon
>>25720427
Would you really fucking honestly rather have them constantly write for a thread that no one has absolutely no interest in keeping countless worthless threads bumped just because they want to write what they are writing?
No, you wouldn't you'd bitch about that too.
What the fuck is the problem with asking if people are interested in reading something so you don't waste your time writing for no one?
If you honestly didn't give a shit about what you write you'd go into word and write it there and never post it anywhere.
>>25722268
The only real description I give my anon is a green hoodie and the vague descriptors of pants, shoes, and hair.
The details and everything else is left for the reader.
>>25721048
>/mlp/ is so slow, an hiro will/should delete it
>meanwhile boards with threads almost half a year old are to be spared the axe
this was bait yes?
>>25722295
You mean /3/ right?
>>25722277
Looks like I touched a nerve. Don't rake it too personally, I have a writefag friend I talk to on occasion who also gets upset any time I call him an attentionwhore whenever he complains that no one replies to what he writes. While it's true no one needs an audience to appreciate the process of creation, I wouldn't be so crass as to suggest there's absolutely no sense of gratification when there is an audience. Nor should it be assumed getting acknowledgement for contribution is the exclusive reason to post it.
>If you honestly didn't give a shit about what you write
But where did I imply this?
>>25722371
*take
Such is the effect of staying awake 24 hours.or maybe I'm not really a writer after all :^)
>>25722295
>only half a year
Step it up >>>/i/398517
>>25722264
I think it's time for you to go back to whatever shit hole hug box you came from. Or better yet write your special OC story and get it out of your system. Just don't expect to be called the second coming of faust.
>>25722701
Why so aggressive to the basic concept of a human OC not being in stories?
>>25720818
>>25720784
Some people say they enjoyed one run much more than the other to the point where many questioned why it was so popular, until they tried the other run.
>>25720911
>ponyxpony
>shipping
>nice
>>25724328
Why not Anonpone?
>>25724332Because that's not my fetish and I like having hands.
>>25724337
Why not Anondragon or Griffanon?
>>25724337Get a better fetishAnd superior magic
>>25724219
If you want ponyxpony. Go write it, no one is stopping you, but what you're telling us is that WE should stop writing anonymous greens.
>>25722701
See what I mean? Canon characters apparently don't exist, if anon's not there it means it's only OC's.
>>25724421
See >>25724412 or keep bitching. It's entertaining either way.
>>25724412
Every time I've seen someone try to write that it becomes:
>lel c.uck
>go back to FiMFiction
Don't pretend there isn't two sides here.
>>25724586
Again, here you are telling them the same thing, funny ain't it senpai?
>>25720531
Literally. This.
>we have been horse-posting for 5 years
>that's half of a decade
