Because huge portions of the movie are boring and drawn out. Maybe if they'd kept the homesick Sunset storyline I'd be more inclined to watch it, but without it Twilight's whole song and dance at the beginning feels worthless. She's got everything she wants and is about to start an independent study program, yet she yearns for something more? Doesn't feel as balanced without the duality with Sunset who wants something more than staying at a shitty high school.
