I patiently waited for 'The Magic Inside' ever since the animatic was shown at SDCC, but when I finally heard it for the first time yesterday, it felt like a let down. The build up was underwhelming. It was hard to connect to Rara’s character in such a short amount of time and therefore hard to feel for the struggle she’s been through. The song itself was pretty similar to ‘Let it Go’, but with Elsa we did get to know her more which is why that song felt much more powerful. (except now it’s been overplayed and I wish I was able to erase the song from my memory)
Razzle Dazzle on the other hand, positively surprised me. It's a typical generic Gaga song (Daniel did a good job catching her style), yet it's so catchy and over the top that I can't get enough of it.
