I guess I'm just trying to resurrect the old days of /mlp/. When it was more about "Oh you're into a shoe with talking horses? Me too!"

I'm not really sure. I'm hoping for the finale to handle Twilight's character well, take advantage of the major events of the season and the time travel theme, and give us a resolution to the conflict that's more meaningful than "friendship is good". As for this Saturday's episode, I don't know what to expect. I'll probably be happy as long as it's not totally predictable and the moral works. If the new character is interesting, that'll be a bonus.
>>
>>25479341
Is it me, or does twilight always seem to get better plots for stories?

I've been there before Anon, and it sucks, a lot. Those long nights, where it seems everyone else on the planet is happy except you. It does get better, and I know you probably don't believe me. If you told me it gets better when I was younger, if probably tell you to fuck off. But, it does get better.

However, you need to be brave, be bold, and try to talk to people. You'd be surprised how many women will talk to you if you just approach them calmly, and tell them you're as nervous as hell, but you'd like to talk to them.

And besides, there will always be someone on here to talk to you as well. You can do it Anon. Just believe, and never give up.

Perhaps she felt she didn't have to fuck you to connect with you. That means you're approachable Anon. Also, find your self worth. Yes there will be girls that cheat, or get fucked up or whatever. Don't let that determine the person that you are, or that you'd like to be. People sometimes give me shit, and sometimes I feel bad. But then I let it roll off my back, because I know what sort of person I am. I'm not an asshole. True, I can be an immature, vulgar, perverted little shit, but I'm also kind, generous, patient, humble, and an okay guy. I have a glow in me, and no matter how dark the world gets, I will always have it.

Grow your glow Anon :)

Not that anon, but I have practically the same issue as him.
What if I've never been exactly good at talking, or have nothing to really talk about?
Small talk and just approaching people to talk to them has always been awkward to me, a boring, kind of repetitive life has led me to have nothing very interesting about myself at least nothing I'd be willing to talk about to a random stranger, and I generally prefer to be quiet.

>>25480233

>>
>>25480191
That's where the whole being brave, being bold aspect comes into play. On the one hand, you don't necessarily like to talk. But on the other hand, you want human contact, and don't want to be alone. You have to take a breath, move forward, and even if you're scared as hell, day hello to someone.

And so what if you have nothing to say? When I was younger, I went to bars and asked random women what they liked in men. It gave me an excuse to talk to them, and I learned something. Some women liked a good sense of humor, others preferred a more sensitive man, but every, single, woman I talked to liked one aspect in a man more than any other: confidence. Whatever you do, be great at it. Just fucking pick something! Build yourself up from the inside, and roll with it. And besides, conversing is a skill Anon. Practice, practice, practice!

But Anon, know that a woman likes a good LISTENER too. I know I sound like a walking issue of Cosmo, but it's true.

Imagine a wave. Like, the ones you typically see in physics study. Now take your crest and trough, and respectively refer to them as highs and lows. The amplitude of this wave of mine is practically fixed, but the wave itself is shifting. Shifting downward.

So while I am enjoying life less and less, I am also feeling sadder and sadder about it. And it pains me to look back and remember how happy I was just last year, even though my situation was arguably worse. I have friends, but I don't think they enjoy my company nowadays. I don't blame them.

I have things I want to do, and people I want to do them for. People I promised to do them for.

But I feel like shit. I feel empty. A husk of what I used to be, yet also a glimpse of what's to come. I'm feel like I'm getting better at one thing, and one thing only: disappointing.

Obligation is a difficult thing. The more you feel like you should be doing, the less you'll feel able to. But when you simply spend your time doing what you can, when you can, without keeping score of your own failures and successes, you'll find it gets easier. And do a few things just for the fun of it. Watch a movie, play some vidya, read a book, whatever it is that looks interesting when you have time to take a break. It's easy to forget to relax.

Damn Anon, that's heavy...

I really don't know what to say about that. I mean, we've all had bad years. At least, I have. And, it sucks. It really, fucking, sucks.

I don't know if you want any advice, so feel free to skip this if you like. I'm not going to dismiss your problems by simply silver-lining them. I just want say some stuff.

First, you can't dwell on the past. Times might have been better yesterday, but that's over now. A memory, and nothing more. If you can recreate days like those, and you have the means to do so, then go for it. But don't think the good times are all over. There will be more good times, and more bad times. I look forward to tomorrow, everyday. You never know what'll happen.

Second, if you're worried about how your friends think of you, then ask them. Honestly, ask them for an honest answer. You may not like what you hear, but if they really are your friends, then they'll want to keep the relationship with you. And who knows? Maybe they like you just fine.

Third, I know what it's like to always seem like you're disappointing people. It hurts, and it makes you feel small, and weak. I've taken on more than I can handle sometimes, and have ended up making promises I couldn't keep. I believe, if anything, a man should have integrity, and should keep his word. Anon, if there's one thing you can learn from this, learn to say no. Deal with the pain of rejecting someone's request, rather than the pain of saying yes, and being unable to fulfill it. And never be afraid to ask for help. If you feel like you're drowning, reach out. Someone will usually be there.

And whatever the case Anon, thank you for sharing your problems with us. I can't imagine how hard that was.

Hm... hey, maybe just post evidence online. If people around here could get proof of something like what you've described, you can bet there'd be action taken.

Oh the sting of looking for work and not finding anything. I've been there Anon. Aggression has fueled me through many a job hunt, to the point where I just said "Look, let's get to the point: You've seen my resume, and I've told you my work ethic, so let's not waste anymore of each other's time. Are you going to hire me, or do I have to come back in a week, and re-apply for the job?"

Nailed that interview like a fucking carpenter.
>>
>>25480478
Follow up: I'm a realist, and the job is still depressing as shit. Yes, I know people die everyday. Terrible things happen every day. Before I didn't have to interact with it any more than the average Joe. Now, I get to interact with it everyday, multiple times a day, and I rarely know the outcome on top of that.

Oh you baby's chocking? Here's how to do the Heimlich on an infant. I've dispatched an ambulance. Oh, they're in scene? They'll take it from here.

I don't know which is worse: Knowing the baby died or not having a clue.

And shit like that happens. Every. Damn. Day. I can't handle it for much longer. On top of all that shit, there's enough paperwork for 2 full time employees to work on exclusively but instead they divvy it out to the dispatcher to do because apparently we don't have to FUCKING MULTITASK ENOUGH ALREADY. If it paid better, I'd be less inclined to complain, but the pay is shit compared to my IT gigs, with the only benefit being it isn't contract work and I have insurance. At this point, I regret considering it in the first place. All I want to do when I get home is drink myself stupid, but too many people depend on me to consider that.

Fuck me that sounds depressing? Are there any other positions they have there you could fill?

Also, if your looking for retail, know that we're getting into the Christmas season, and more stores will be hiring. Might be something worth looking into.

I love you guys. I hope you never forget that, because I'll never forget you.

I've worked 8 years of retail, but all part time. In my area, I can't find any willing to hire a full timer. Plus, in retail Christmas help rarely says on afterwards unless someone just quit or whatever. You don't get hired at Christmas for full time.
>>
Alright everyone, OP here. I'm off to bed. I hope whoever takes comfort in this thread remembers that they're not alone. Life can be hard, but it's not all bad n' shit.

Goodnight you beautiful horse fuckers.
>>
>>25480702
I have heard of some companies hiring people full time after Christmas. Although yeah, it is pretty rare.

Have you thought about expanding your skills Anon? Like, trade school or something?

Turns out there's also a number to call for human trafficking- you said parents were selling their kids, right?. It appears to be run on a national level, so if you can call in a tip and take some photographic evidence, it may be outside of the corruption you've mentioned. It's called the "National Human Trafficking Resource Center". Google it and the phone number shows up.

Hope you can get some results with this.

There are good things

These things can be brought about by your actions

Good things should be brought about

You should bring about good things

You should retain your ability to bring about good things so that you will be able to bring about the maximum amount of good things.

You should stay alive.

I know this is kind of emotionally dead, but a lot of people are giving that to you, and I'll give you this picture too. But this helped me keep moving when I had no hope, and still helps me when I fall right back into that. >>25480361 makes a good point about not focusing too much on obligation, and he's certainly right about not letting it take too much control of you, but if you're looking for a reason to keep moving, this is the one that kept me. If it's too dead, think of people you could help through charity, or other depressed people, even ones on this board, who could be helped by you (through your support, and when you get better, a little guidance and assurance that it'll work out). You can do amazing stuff. Do amazing stuff.
