The 26 inch does also come in the fast variety, but the stiff wings do make a little tricky to cuddle from the back. You can still cuddle her real well from the front though and look into her eyes while you do it

Did another test just for the heart and for how quickly I did it, it could have turned out a lot worse. I need like hemostats or something to clamp the fabric in place while sewing, fingers are just too big for something smaller than your pinky fingernail.
Also I think If I cut it in more of "V" shape rather than an actual traced heart it will be more recognizable. Bleh, I'll keep at it.

You can get an embroidery machine for around $300 if you do some bargain hunting, though I really like the way that looks over embroidery. Looks like a pain in the ass though.

Ok, I'm insanely flattered that you think I'm a plushmaker! This is my very first and I'm just working through it as methodically as I can so I can learn what to and not to do (also have gained a HUGE amount of respect for you and other makers out there, so. much. time. and. care.). I eventually want to rough out a lifesize laying plush in foam and create my own pattern from there, but I have a long way to go.
I watched your stream (last week?) and you're still dealing with a pain in the ass time even with the machine, but such clean results <3 I don't mind the sewing as I haven't done well any of it until now and I need something to occupy my mind. The cross took roughly an hour to sew (less the marking, cutting etc) and this was just the test one. I'll be sure to mark and pin more when finally sewing it into the cut out plush flank.

Well first off, her waiting list looks to be a year long now. Now, the only thing I would change on my Dashie would be to have folded wings sewn tightly to her body. I thought her tail was a bit thick(it is huge) but I am used to it now. I sleep on my back with her on top and her tail is between my knees and feels nice. Her spread wings prevent me from spooning her and bear hugging her. I can still hug her while I sleep. The box she came in was heavily damaged, I'm talking holes punched in the cardboard and I nearly fainted when I saw this, but she was unscathed. I have had her since July and I still look forward to going from work and sleeping with her. I snagged her from Agatrix before she listed her on ebay and skipped the waiting line for a commission. Yeah, it does take a LONG time, especially when your machine gives you issues like mine did yesterday. One of the eye on that head took 6 hours because the catch lights refused to stitch. Had to turn the hand wheel for almost 1000 stitches. Actual sewing of the head was only a few hours.
I wish I had thought about cutting out and inlaying the pieces when I did my Twilight, but her CM would probably be a much bigger pain because of all the points. I instead did a tiny invisible applique stitch. Pic related was my test piece.
I take it you hand stitched the CM based on its size? If you're gonna do the eyes, you'll probably want to layer cotton or satin and use a sewing machine to stitch down the parts, otherwise you can use a whip stitch to hold them in place, but you can't leave the raw edges out if you do that otherwise they will fray.
Good luck with the eventual life size. Hope to see you post more about it. I would suggest checking NeysaNight's DA and look at her WIP stuff. She actually shows how she made a made a mold for building her laying pony pattern.

Yes, she was wrapped in plastic. Agatrix is still working on August commissions, she is behind due to real life crap. She is a real sweetheart, easy to talk too. There are around 70 people on the list now,some with more than one pony. Now when you do get your waifu plush, keep any food and drink away from her. Do not touch her until after you have showered and scrubbed your hands and dry them on a fresh towel every time. Only touch or hold your waifu if you are shower clean and toweled with fresh towels, if wearing clothes then with fresh clean clothes. When sleeping with her, have a fan blowing on you as to not get sweat on her. I go to extreme measures to keep my plushies clean. I don't let them touch the carpet even after vacuuming. They rest on clean towels or clean sheets.

Maybe, but what's been really boggling my mind even before I got the big plush is how consistently even my smaller pinkie plushies drive me up the wall in cuddling bliss and lately it's been to the tipping point of almost driving me to tears of pure joy a lot, though that's happened several times already. I'm just surprised the effect of pink plush has diminished over these amazing 7 months. I thought all humans were cursed with never being satisfied with the same thing for to long. yeah there are lame days where pinkie only makes me a little happy, but being buddhist about it and not dwelling on disappointment and just accepting that not everyday can be perfect makes the dreariness go away eventually after a couple days.

The feeling I get when holding my LS Dashie or Scootaloo shoulder pony is indescribable. When I have a shit day I know they are at home waiting for me, enjoying each other's company until I arrive. When holding Scootaloo in my lap or embracing her, all the stress vanishes and I feel weightless and it nearly brings me to tears sometimes still. When Dashie is on top of me, I feel like I am falling and she is slowing my descent/embracing me and I sleep so good and wake up to her looking in my eyes. I'm probably going to be a complete tard and tough everything out by hand sewing for the eyes no matter what it takes to hide the stitches. Also I think your applique is the best balance between soft fuzzy centers and clean embroidered edges. They're perfect.
Once I do size up, I actually look forward to being able to sew the CM by hand without darting at the pattern lines with the needle 3-5 times before sticking myself and getting it in the right spot.
Will check out NeysaNight! You may want to check out how fursuit makers pattern out designs just for the hell of it. I don't have any specific links but there's a fair amount of foam and duct tape involved. Oh and also regret, lots of regret.
