Homeworld. Made by relic, released in 1999. It has the best soundtrack to any game I have ever played. The style in the pic I replied to is extremely similar to homeworld 2 art.

Nah the Minmatar have too much exposed structure, the look unfinished. The Taidian have sharp edges but everything looks complete and aggressive. The hiigaran battlefleet is still made up of sharp polygons but they flow together a little bit more. Although their ships do look boxy. The Turanic Raiders look purposely obsolete. The Kadeshi have an organic look, insectile when taken as a whole.
