She's been generous to her friends and strangers multiple times. She struggles a lot with her "element" and with being nice to ponies sometimes because of stress like Sweetie Belle, so because of that there's depth to her character.
She's feminine without being overly girly and she's not a stupid vain girl who only cares about fashion trends. Instead she's smart because she knows how to design clothes and how to work in a competitive industry.
All in all, she's a good pony like most of them.

I'm a dashfag and I think rarity is one of the best developed characters in the show. She has well established goals but doesn't forget about her friends while still marching on. It's obvious she likes doing her own thing, but she will still go far out of her way if her friends are in need of her help

She's aesthetically pleasing and cute, with an adorable accent.
She has a very good heart, and is a very friendly pony. When she fucks up in her episodes, she always makes up for it by the end.
Her episodes are strong, she has well-developed goals, and every episode she gets feels like she's moving forward as a character.
She has clear goals, and can both tap into and be in conflict with her element without it defining her.

I think that point about Rarity fixing her fuck ups is important, another note is that she always feels bad about them and figures out she fucked up on her own. Some other characters, like Rainbow frequently need to have another character basically slap them with the fact they fucked up.
