I've been thinking about shows that haven't been in SRW yet, and seeing how they'd work, but I have no idea how to deal with Dagwon.
On one hand, you could have them start out in their Dag forms, but one of the units (DagTurbo) would only have 2 attacks. On the other hand having them start in their Dagwon forms would solve the DagTurbo issue, but then you'd have to pick in the intermission which Dagwon form Ein would use instead of giving him the choice of turning into Fire Dagwon, or Power Dagwon.

The MC is fucking insane and trivializes every fight with Festum (protip: Only use his weakest attack on Festum once you get Sein). Most of the rest are pretty worth it - there are some weak ones like Shouko's, but all of them come with the Crossing System once you get near the Part 2 finale, so they get a lot of stat boosts if you field a bunch at once - with the exception of Mark Nicht, who comes really late and has its boss weapons, which means its weapons are all underpowered. And it can't make up for it because IT LOSES ITS FUCKING MAP ON THE ALLY SIDE.

It's certainly not perfect, and the endgame can be a bit of a slog (though I've never found it as bad as @3's), but it's a pretty fun little game. Definitely worth a try, at least.

It's pretty different from the average SRW.
Has pretty nifty gameplay with free 360º movement on the maps, and positioning matters a lot for things like MAP weapons. It's not perfect since sometimes you need move to just the right spot to get your weapons to hit all enemies possible, and overall the new mechanics could use some balancing (some weapon effects don't really make much of a difference, something they revised in OE by making them a LOT more effective) but it's a good base for something that, with tweaks, could become something special. The last few stages have a ton of reinforcements and bosses have a billion HP and regenerate a few times, which is a bit of a chore.
There's also a few other differences of note, such as how spirits (which are now limited to 4 for the main pilot, 2 for the subs and 3 for each Getter Team member) and can be used at almost any time, even after their turn as ended or when an enemy targets them. SP also regenerates in multiple ways. You get 4 or 5 at the start of every player phase, and dealing damage also gives you some it.
In terms of graphics, it's... better than GC, I guess. It's really not that great for the most part. The music is really good, though, and also noticeably different from other SRW games. Story is very "safe" (there's an ancient evil, teenager finds magic bot) and it's a lot like an old-school super robot anime. The developers really, really like the Eldorans.
