In our team collaboration with Namco Bandai Asia in an effort to translate Super Robbot Wars OG®: The Moon Dwellers, we've decided to make some changes in order to reach a new audicne.
The character "Festenia Muse" will now be renamed to "Festy Dee" to fit her personality.

Well the "final" stage was disappointingly easy. First part was a bit tedious since those Einst shitters were tanky, but it was just a matter of chipping away their health, they were weak as shit. And Neue Regisseur, or whatever his name is, was laughably easy for a "final" boss. Here's hoping that the secret final stage is a bit tougher.
My aces at the final stage. Burrito got real hungry there, wasn't even intentional. It's partially because of the kill requirement for the Shishioh Blade I guess. I think half of them are only high there because you had to kill a lot of enemies with them for a secret, like Lamia, Burrito and Arado.

The phase based combat thing only really works with Touhou since the series is already built around it.
Implementing it in SRW where most fights in the source material are naturally long beatdowns would be kind of odd.
Part of the reason why Neo and OE got a lot of shit from people who played it was due to the fact that most bosses resorted to hp regen event spam which got to the point where it wasn't fun and was just simply tedious.

The secret stage is sort of the opposite of the final stage in pacing in that you're trying to rush to take out the boss as quickly as possible before he gets to the bottom-right of the map. You have lots of mooks to build up morale, so it's not as tedious, but there's somewhat more of a sense of pressure, at least in theory.

So uh, I'm almost done with SRW OG1 portion of SRW OGs.

I usually do this with most of my SRW run throughs, you know. I don't use all the slots, I'll pick a group and just stick with them the entire time, making only minor modifications.
Only changes that occurred in this run of the game is that I initially wanted to keep Katina, Russel, and Tasuku in their original units but I decided against it later on in the run.

The differences in OGs were the prologue stages with Axel and the SRW R characters, Raul joining the party fairly early on but not really doing anything, Axel's character getting a rewrite, and the final and secret stages being combined into one.
OGG establishes how Axel and Alfimi survived in its first few stages.
Katina and Russel really need some new material. I don't dislike them, but I don't see a reason to ever use them.
