Honestly I'd say OG2 GBA's final stage was harder
Combos are harder to abuse (no damage multiplier for SRX and R-Gun Twin), you get less money and PP in general because no enemy twins, and killing X number of grunts spawns even more grunts so they just keep pouring in in ever increasing numbers. And half of those are Regisseiurs so fuck that noise. And you have to surround the boss so it stops moving while you set up to kill it, since it can cross the map in very little time.
The OGs version is just a slightly souped up redo of the OG2 GBA semi-final stage. Shit's lame.

On the other hand OG2 allows easy PP farming unlike OGs. The final stage alone can net me like 100 PP per run by just killing anything that's not a Regisseur.
And BECAUSE there's shit that aren't Regisseurs, building up will takes no time, while in OGs you need to rely on the 75 SP Twin Great Rouse and the nerfed Rouse which targets only a single unit.
And then Stern Neue comes up and hits your ship with Erbsunde for 18K and that's game over because he picked up Barrier Pierce on the way now.

Chaos Capra and the other two Virgolas are definite joins, only question is if they'll still be summon attacks in OG. It seems unlikely.
I've said it before, but I think Z3 suffers a little from holding back for OG. A Glory Star combination attack is obvious, Cielo Beater was on the Solarian the whole time and thus could have been Gunleon's third pilot, Librasta T is a test-type unit and not the intended final build, and Geminion Rei could potentially transform yet again, some pieces of its body otherwise do nothing. On top of that Esther has her DAMON stuff, Xine's Chaos Capra is supposed to be a Sphere-stealer like Genion, there's two Dimensional Generals we never saw along with the original owners of Pisces and Capricorn. There's a lot to work with for OG content.

It's not made to be part of the current OG Saga, no. That story seems like it's going to come to a close with the game after Moon Dwellers, though, with W probably being the last handheld entry that gets in. Almost every game made after that follows a much more unified theme around dimensional and/or time fuckery, they're definitely made to work together as part of a new saga. The game after MD will be the last hurrah of the Steel Dragons, and we'll start over with a fresh team.

Getter in Nova is kind of interesting since it's a mixed bag, cribbing from just about every version. Ryouma's crew is a post time-skip versions of the manga iterations, after Invader stuff happens in the prologue. Ryouma goes Armageddon, Benkei goes New, and Hayato becomes kind of a mixture of New, Armageddon, and SvN. You get Neo Getter with some of Go's weaponry, and as of the last update to NovaIt's the Ryouma crew that pilot Shin Dragon, while Gou's crew get Shin, which comes with the usual combination attacks, but also mixes weaponry, what with having both Stoner Sunshine and Getter Final Crash.

Alright this is a pretty stupid question but I figured someone here might know. I'm playing an old save of SRW J and I was wondering if there was any way to see what franchises I picked at the start of the game as favorites. If that doesn't impact their appearance in the story I suppose it's fine; but if my retarded ass picked SEED as a favorite instead of G Gundam, and that means only one will appear in the story, it'd be nice to know so I can just start a new save. Jesus Yamato has showed up in my old save already so I'm worried.

It's not. It never used the scythe as far as I remember. Though, you're reminding me that literally the only difference between Getter Teams attackwise in OE was that Go gets a Scythe and Ryoma gets a Tomahawk (there's minor changes throughout the stats of the two groups but that's the only thing important enough to warrant new animation).

Granteed is actually just as good as Bellzelute at this, because Granteed is absolutely fucking broken in J.
Coustwell is not good at anything. It is the worst unit of the three by a hilarious margin. What it *does* is it moves in and bludgeons things with post-move attacks while hovering in that weird space between dodging and tanking where it's just sort of crappy to okay at both. I wouldn't go so far as to say it does this *well* when God Gundam or Tekkaman Blade can do it so much better, and certainly not when Mazinkaiser or Granteed can clear every map by just hitting End Turn over and over.
Use Coustwell because you need to for Raftclans. Otherwise ignore it.
