Yeah, but it'd be nice to see them actually do the plot properly for once. GC finagles it to make it work and D... does even less than GC does to make it work. And neither of those games have really good 2D animations either so there's that - I don't care about whether a game has good animations or not as to its quality (unless they're unskippable and hella long/annoying in which case fuck you Shin), but I do care that series get well animated at least once.
If we ever get a game that starts like 64 (THE EARTH IS TAKEN OVER BY ALIENS) and it doesn't have Daltanius in it I'd be fucking mad though.

Also it bugs me that two games with Daltanius had exactly the same attacks. I get the finishers, Transaber, Choudenji Eraser, and Cannon Cubic (those are by far its most used moves), but why does Sigma Beam always get in over the Raithunder or the Chaindreiser or... hell, just the Kaen Ken by itself? This bugs me.

They expanded the cast list greatly a while ago but didn't tell us what got on that, which is the problem. G Gundam, Wing EW, Machine Robo RoC, Getter G, Mazinkaiser, and a few others have shown up since then, and all of them fit into the question marks shown on the incomplete cast list.

Thinking about the atlus translation arguments going on here made me remember how DeSu1's bonus boss had its dialogue left in Japanese in the localization, how do you miss something like that

BX handles it pretty well, it starts during the time period where the Nadesico was going through the Chulip from Mars back to Earth and it covers all of the important plot points from the following episodes except for the episode where they go to the island (Because seriously fuck that episode and fuck the fact that it keeps getting featured) and the episode where the Nadesico's fighting the Federation because it has faulty coding (probably because it's been covered in quite a few SRWs). Oh and Memory Mahjong but whatever.
Hell, it even remembered Munetake exists, which is something only Impact did before BX. And while it doesn't give you Gai, you DO automatically get Tsukumo, and can obtain Genichiro, Genpachiro (that cool battleship commander guy except you get him in a Gekigan type), and TV Superior Saboruta. And Double Gekigan Fire exists. The ONLY blemish on BX's handling of Nadesico in all honesty is Gai being forced dead - but even then his spirit nebulously shows up for a part to say a few words (it's that time Munetake took the X-Aesti out where he was hallucinated as having shown up.)

It feels especially odd to me given that the one scene where you get to hear Gai it's clearly new dialogue from the sounds of it. I know Tsukumo shares a VA so most of the new lines go there, but it felt a bit weird to have him also churn out one fairly generic but still new recording for Gai's spirit.Also for some reason I can never keep from being surprised when old VAs get brought back for new lines, save for a few exceptions. Bringing in Amuro time and again for new lines I can understand, but getting new stuff for, say, Tobikage and Dunbine in UX? Not unpleasant at all, but it always surprises me somehow.
Also kind of surprising to hear this talk about W's Nadesico handling being disliked, I thought most everybody had good things to say about W as a whole.
