So I've been replaying Alpha Gaiden a bit, and boy howdy is the Dancougar even worse than I remembered.
Dancouken takes 110 will and 20 EN with 1 Range, Bry-Spear needs no will, is free, with 1-3 range.
Dancouhou needs 120 will and 40 EN against Bry-Sword Beam's 110 will and 20 EN.
Dancoukougaken needs 140 will and takes ____90____ EN, while Bry-Cannon only needs 130 and takes 50 EN.
Like, I know that the Bryger is pretty OP, but even then basically every other super overshadows it in most every way.

At last, the rapetrain begins anew.
I'm getting Maria at the end of this stage, so this is Sayaka's last ride in Great before I shove her back into the Borot. As a final performance, she gets to map the Black Tri-Stars to death all at once. As in, this is the stage where they actually die.
Honestly, I said I wasn't going to bother trying to use her offensively in this run, but she's decent for the first of the game or so. This time I maxed the Breast Burn right away to get the map version, combined with her Luck she's made me a lot of money. But Maria has Luck too, so there you go. Enjoy the Borot's steering wheel, Sayaka.

I've had Miracle on Cham almost the whole time in this run since my levels are higher due to the Link Battler save I used, and I'll also have it on Four when she joins (which is this very stage actually). Obviously it's very nice, but it's so expensive you can only really use it once per stage. There is no such thing as SP Drinks in these old games.

I think I've only seen around half a dozen anime in English, most of which predates my having a computer waaay back in the day.
In my country, we had this cable channel called Teletoon and they would show stuff like Macross Plus and Ninja Scroll(that's a fun movie to have shown to you when you are 9).
Though Gundam Wing was on when I was in Jr. High.
I remember having lots of fun with the English voices of the characters on games like Encounters in Space, and Gundam vs Zeta Gundam.
Nowadays I just import everything anyway, I've never even seen what games like Gundam Musou are like in English.

In my mind the people in charge of the original casting took more care in choosing the roles of the voice actors than those who simply had to redub language.
I do however appreciate that there are those in foreign dub industries who do care about their work, and try to make it translate well while keeping the integrity of the original work.though I hear the American dub industry is basically a wash in terms of how those in charge treat their actors

In OE, there is no GL plot. Very early in the show (definitely pre-Dai Gurren) Kamina, Simon, Yoko, and Boota get ported over, and then later it turns out Viral came over too, and he had just gotten Enkidu. Viral fights you with a bunch of Mucus once or twice, and then in like late Chapter 5 or Chapter 6 you fight him and he goes "Ok, either I win this fight and you die, or I give in and join you until we can figure out how the fuck we're getting home" - GL Giga Drill Breaks his ass and he joins.
GL itself is pretty good, although it never gains flight, but it's got this really dick way of balancing the two different forms it gets (Simon gets better power on the better attacks and generally better abilities for attacks, Kamina has better mookbusting power and IIRC his MAP is the one that hits flying enemies and he has a better ace and he hits harder - but none of that matters because Simon gets enough power on GDB that he's the one you want to keep in the lead anyway. It's easy to ace both though so w/e). Also Yoko's rifle costs an absurd amount of EN for no real reason.
Viral's low in attack power, but he has the almighty Attacker Ace that makes everyone not named Ota a strong attacker, his attacks are ludicrously fucking cheap - which is RARE for OE, which makes him a commodity - and he has a pretty damn solid Assault.
GL's the guy you take with things like the Eldorans and Dancouga to fight the last mission of any set. Enkidu's the thing you bring with guys like Murasame Liger, ZZ, Infinite Justice, the Ryus, and their pals to ensure the missions before that don't fuck you over.

Oh, forgot to say - OG plot in OE is basically some connection between the girl subpilot of Exert and the alien thing (Varsage, IIRC). It's pretty quick to be handled since you finish all that in fucking Chapter 3 though, and then in Chapter 5 you just eat a fucking Mucus to get the sword power up (like literally you kill one and it flies into your unit and you get the Dankuukougaken, lazy map events are the worst map events and look worse in 3D than 2D).

...which makes me sad, because Braigar was removed from OE for literally no fucking reason. Even though Braigar would have fit fairly well into the early plot. And they didn't bring the other J9s back either. Even though they could have been fit in pretty well too and were in XO. But then, that's one of OE's problems - bringing back all the Gundam from XO, and pretty much fucking nothing else.

Well, it's pretty goddamn solid (Gurren Boomerang is low cost and decent power + range, so it's a good spam move, and the finishers are appropriately finisherish, plus it has those MAPs) so it's not like it's a load against bosses like some things (cough cough patlabor 08th ms squad units).

So Mekibos showed up, as a special envoy from the big ass galactic high council that run both the Guests and the Inspectors.
He basically tells us that both wars were essentially a sham, that back when it was the Inspectors attacking, it was merely Wendolo doing it as an opportunity to advance himself in his own government.
The same applies now with the Guests and Zezernan.
Initially, both civilizations (Earth and the aliens) were involved in simple technological trading, but stupid corrupt people in each of their respective governments essentially both planned to double cross each other.
It's funny, they imply that there was a south pole meeting just like the one in OG, only Shu didn't do anything really, both the Feds and Zezernan rigged sabotage to stage a horrible even to cheat each other, which caused the Granzon's black hole engine to go berserk temporarily, and at that exact moment First Impact also happened.
In more fun news, apparently you can Turn 1 this stage with Dancouga. I won't be because Shinobu is level 19 with no upgrades, but it's possible.
