The poses they do in original MMPR stuff are so fucking bad. Like they're trying really hard to emulate some form of martial arts stances thanks to the ninja craze of the 80's and early 90's.
I also never notice the little things on the back of Red's helmet in Sentai footage but I always spot them in PR. They look so odd.
Then there's other suit differences like the neck area. In Sentai, its skin tight, but in PR, its always baggy and rumpled. Looks odd to me again.

I was actually disappointed that Gokaiger seemed to mostly use stunt helmets for the Gokaichanges. I guess it's necessary due to the number of suits, but it was the first time I noticed the claps in Sentai without looking for them.

That's actually a new photo from the last few years. While the show was taking the usual large batches of photos of the Megaforce suits for press use, merch etc, they also did a large shoot of the MMPR suits. They were taken by the team in the NZ studio.

So I have a little brother interested in Power Rangers, I figured I show him some of MMPR since it's what I grew up with.
I know one of you autistic faggots has an essential episode guide. I'm already planning on watching the first episode, green ranger arc, and introduction of the white ranger at the very least.

Anyways the episodes that do so are the first, the second(they get the weapons), green with evil(obviously), gung ho(titanus is introduced), whichever episode titanus joins the team, the green candle, doomsday and return from an old friend.
As for other memorable episodes in S1: the island of illusions and an oyster stew. Also, that one where Billy and Kimberly switch minds.
In S2 its the mutiny, green no more,white light, the power transfer and the wedding.
Most of S3 is plot relevant, biggest obvious exception would be the Masked Rider introduction.

If they do a special it might be better, but they seem like dicks to past actors so it probably will be shit. There also isnt many usable things in sentai footage anyways. The best would be the Ninninger episode where Ninjared and Hurricanered show up and Aurico isnt exactly one of the most liked rangers (neither Shane) and they would have to explain why the sixth isnt there.

Disney only got the rights because acquiring Fox Family was a package deal with all of Saban's properties. And they could have just cancelled it outright after Wild Force, but they kept it going for seven years afterwards before closing up shop. Disney really put in some work to keep the series afloat, even if it ultimately waned over time.
I mean, for every A-Squad and Omega Ranger situation, we had Disney spending their Battlizer Budget on the Spirit Rangers.

I just picked up PR after a forever but man is the original Mighty Morphin some rough editing. Not even getting into the obviously different camera/film quality between the original and American footage, but the American editing is an absolute mess of jumping around from place to place and plot point to plot point like it was written by a schizophrenic. Going through in order they don't seem to get their act together till say Turbo.

There's only been three series' made so far in the Neo-Saban era, with the third (Dino Charge) still running. And judging by the reception that Dino Charge been getting, it seems like there is some improvement being made from the last two (Samurai/Super Samurai and Megaforce/Super Megaforce) I don't think we should throw in the towel just yet. With a franchise like Power Rangers, there is bound to be some duds among the good. Think of SNL. There's been plenty of great or good sketches and cast members while also a lot of mediocre or bad ones. And let's not act like there hasn't been some bad Power Ranger series's in the past, Turbo and Operation Overdrive being examples that people often bring up.

I've watched PR from 1999 to 2009 and I can honestly say that the franchise needs to die off. /co/ and /tv/ are speculating that the influx of so much comic movies nowadays is gonna eventually over-satuate and burn out. PR is hardly relevant to contemporary kids as much as 90's ones. No surprise Saban wants an MMPR movie so that he can reap up all that manchildren nostalgia as well as attract new blood.

Neo-Saban seasons still get 1-3 million views per new episode and sell tens of millions in merch a year.
Sure, it's nowhere near MMPR's peak of 4-6 million views and $1 billion sales in 1995, but nothing these days really does.
MMPR aired on broadcast TV while everything Disney-era and beyond aired on cable. And families are starting to cut cable and move to streaming services, so cable ratings for kids shows are naturally going to drop anyway, yet Power Rangers is still somehow able to get decent viewership. Streaming is actually even getting kids interested in older seasons since they're more readily available to watch now.
Power Rangers is in it for the long run.
