I don't understand why Akiko is so hated. Sure her voice gets annoying but she's proactive is actually helpful to Shotaro and the others. Even when she did stuff that people weren't okay with like not letting Terui be Accel she understood that he had to be and lets him do his job.hell she's way better than the companions that came after her, at least the episodes that had her as a focus were fun. Let's compare her to Hina, who is the female lead of the show after Akiko's, as well as being moderately accepted by the general audience. Hina doesn't get in the way of the two boys in their work, while Akiko somewhat does and tends to be comic relief for its own sake. Hina is also important for talking to characters who suffer from their desires when nobody else can, while Akiko just provides closure most of the time. In one sense, Hina is more sympathetic in her desires to be a growing woman along with her desires for her brother to be back. Akiko just tends to be too extreme for anyone to connect one, and she just sorta remains in the show to assist Shotaro or pick up Philip's body and shit.
To conclude, People don't like Akiko because she lost a lot of potential and never fulfilled any of it, while Hina actually does and is not a drag to the story and even functions as a unique character by herself.

Her first set was great and an all around good episode for Double and Akiko. It was nice to see her act like her father when push came to shove. The doll episodes were fucking painful to watch and easily the worst back-to-back of rider that I've seen so far in my short time with the series. Those two episodes were just hard to sit through.

The GanGun Saber is a tombstone mixed with a zipper.
The GanGun Hand is most obviously designed around Specter's main two Damashii, Nobunaga and Tut: So it's a hand for holding the Scythe and a gun for Nobunaga's sniping.
The Bat Clock is meant to most likely represent the "Duel at High Noon" cliche in wild west shows. Combined with the GanGun Saber, it becomes a rifle with two barrels, kind of like the actual Billy the Kid's shotgun
The Condor Phone's gimmick is being able to call anyone anywhere, which is relatively reminiscent of how Robin Hood stories sort of happened all over England (Which is still a large country to cover by foot), but that's reaching far as fuck.
The Tsuchigomo Spider/Hammer is the only one I have nothing for.
Mobile Cobra is pretty fucking clever in general, it becomes a sickle (which something similar was used in ancient Egypt) and King Cobras are a popular motif in the region. Also, Tut is a Pharaoh, which is a "King" of sorts. Mobile's just so he has a call gimmick.

Guys. What if the Ganma are more about dreams and sleep than death? I saw someone mention dream theory here a while ago about how psychologically, wearing the coat of another person in your dream is supposed to represent taking after their traits or assuming their role. With the whole Matrix sleep chamber revelation, that theory makes even more sense to me.
