Have all the reinforcements spawn in the same area. That way, the player doesn't have to run halfway across the map to reach them, and the reinforcements won't seem as bad.

Actually not that much IMO, I can name a few "reasons" I've seen and then make my counterarguments

1) The player units are "low powered", plot-wise - really damn empty argument considering no one cares about how a Scopedog can kill the Anti-Spiral, but I think they can probably stand up to like... pre-Zeta UC era units.

2) The enemy/BETA are "low-powered", their only strength is in numbers so if you had Supers in the universe, they wouldn't be threatening and thus wouldn't achieve territorial dominance - I guess people are under the impression that the heroes would start with multiple Great Zeorymyers from Day 1 or something, because the BETA are like the STMC in that killing the members of its race is about as effective as trying to kill ants by stomping on them one by one - you need to take out the leadership to put a dent in them and they don't make it easy - supplementary material states they do evolve new strains when necessary to counter military threats.

3) A big part of the setting is the "justification" for why mechas exist instead of regular tank/planes considering the time era the story takes place in where humanity got bumrushed before they invented super advanced stuff to build robots with that you see in other Mecha fiction - the 'Laser' class strain is a breed that can apparently fire stupidly high powered and accurate lasers at any airborne units and their weakness is mostly that they're programmed not to friendly fire on their own race, which basically rules out aerial combat and thus shifts development to ground units.

This one... actually, I think has some merits to think about in terms of creating a coherent world building for a crossover SRW game.

Big MLA Spoilers
The end-game MC unit for MLA is like a 3-pilot GP-03 with the Nadesico's distortion field and gravity blasts.

Even with that on their side, they still only "increased the chance of victory by a significant amount" in a "kill the leader" operation that costed a whole bunch of lives including many named character deaths, not a decisive victory.

The BETA like the Vajra in Frontier are the kinds of enemies that you need to defeat ASAP before they have time to adapt to your attacks.

In Macross F TV, they had to use the Assault Knives and MDEs at the end because the Vajra had developed a resistance to Reaction Bombs along with other standard ordinance.

I'd assume that SRW would just arrange it so that the BETA only really had time to develop counter measures to TSFs since they were the more common opponents.

Here's a simple and awesome solution: Banpresto is allowed to design completely new BETA strains to counter whatever Scopedogs and Obari mecha you try to throw at them

Also TSFs can get stronk as fuck with railguns too and if that fails Alternative 2 will introduce 5/6th gen TSF packing lasers and flying at supersonic speed

I never really used Tobikage by itself in UX, but combining works out pretty well. The unit becomes like SKL where skills are shared (including Joe's Damage+10%) and it uses whoever's stat is higher.

Masaki Kihara made (with DNA splicing) each one of the Hakkeshu with a fatal flaw. However, they actually got over those flaws, usually right before they died. In the battle against the last three of them, the already mentally-strained Masaki gets thrown deeper into chaos when he hears them bickering.

Lanstar had pride, and... well, he fucked Yuratei?
The two twin girls' flaw was bickering (the attack twin didn't like partnering with the defense twin), but they got over it in the end.
The guy with the mask... had the face of a girl? What the fuck?
The last three guys are as follows:
- Proton Thunder Guy wanted to join Masaki
- Girl loved Proton Thunder Guy and ignored Rock Guy
- Rock Guy loved Girl and hated Proton Thunder Guy
In the end, Rock and Proton Thunder guy actually worked together to take down Masaki, although they failed.

Thinking of trimming off Dunbine from the list, and possibly, much as I'd hate to, Iczer and Dangaioh. Dunbine I think is an outcast in the general idea of the theme, at the least. That seems like it could fairly easily fit in, then. I only know a little bit of Zuul, but given his powers and ego, it sounds like it wouldn't be out of reality to have him be the potential higher power, calling them little insects or pawns or the like, and having them be one of the lowest levels of his totem pole of power. I also figure Radam vs. BETA would probably be a thing at some points.

I'd really like to make there be a way to save Rapier and Tekkaman Evil in this plot. While there could maybe be some handwaving with Rapier, I got no idea if there's anything that could make the Radam release Evil without actually killing him.

Lost Children is literally just a mix of 22nd Child in a different key which in itself is just a re-arranged Gate of Magus. It's nice but it's like a more generic pop version of the original theme it's based on.

Yeah, they pretty much just sped it up and changed scale to make it sound deliberately off key.

They do this a lot in OG games to carry a certain theme/leitmotif as the story calls for more than some would notice. Sometimes it's not even that they intend it and they're supposed to be new songs but they tend to go for the same kinds of chord progression.

So the result is when you listen to a lot of SRW songs even some of the newer ones enough you kinda get a really 'samey' feel. It does make me appreciate the more drastically different themes for that reason.

Zest Seven and Clown Master both are remixes but in the case of Clown Master they managed to do a good enough mix and arrangement job that it's pretty much a brand new song on its own with only that slight hint of the original.

In the case of Balmar they get away with being remixes of a remix because they are clones of clones of another clone in story.

Pretty much the whole two themes we got out of C3 are both unknown classics that went completely overlooked for years till OGG's arrangements. Which is sad because the original 8 bit versions of them were pretty charming on their own.

How about just giving them OE tier accuracy modifiers so they'd actually want to target say D-Boy?

A little more base damage too so they'd actually be able to pierce Orgone Clouds and Distortion fields.

Certain enemies could get a little more HP and other a little less, so we don't spend forever on stages.

But yeah, all of C3's OG themes were damn good in both the original 8-bit versions and OGG's arranges. The Law of Shura isn't quite on the level of the others, but it's still a good boss theme.

It was.

Wonderswan was basically Bandai's own attempt at a handheld working with the company Gunpei Yokoi founded after leaving Nintendo after the Virtual Boy fiasco. They got utterly thrashed by the GBA.

The thing though is that Compact 3 was released nearly more than half a year after Bandai had already discontinued all manufacture and support for the Wonderswan meaning they released it on a literal dead console. It makes no fucking sense at all unless TOSE spent 2 years making it in which case they should've cut their losses and moved the project onto another platform.
