After I watched Linkaras megaforce review, I have to say, I liked his suggestion about using the cards to transform into past rangers instead of the ranger keys. It would have been to see them do such a thing in show.
Would anyone have liked to see this happen? It would mean we get the pirate suits from Gokaiger. But It might have made for a better show. Plus I also liked his idea of having the Goseiger mecha become the Gokaiger mecha like how they handles the thunderzords.

They problem with that is they would've have to create entirely new footage using cards instead of keys and they are under contract with Toei to use a percentage of the footage from both Goseiger and Gokaiger.
The problems isn't them transforming into the Gokai suits.....the problem was that you had a lazy producer who wanted to do the bare minimal and half ass everything. Gokaiger was essentially handed to them on a silver platter and they had a 2 year head start when Gokaiger began to get pre-production started and come up with ideas for a good anniversary season.

You know, looking at their plans for Star Wars, PR is basically what Disney really wants: a franchise with new content every year. If they'd decided to keep it post-RPM, you can bet your ass we'd get Go-Busters adapted - not because it's good (never seen it myself) but because it's material to be made into new content.

I like that Carter is essentially written with the personality of Superman. He's just a straight up american hero.
I watched Lightspeed Rescue for the first time through recently, so here's my mini-review.
It starts off really strong, and it was really refreshing with how different it was. There was a lot of focus on rescuing civilians, and the characters were just strong focused heroes. Even Joel, who some people accuse of being a dick, will immediately drop the attitude and get to work when the situation calls for it.
The Titanium Ranger has a really cool design, and a nice backstory. It's just unfortunate that his appearances were so limited. And, I can't entirely blame the lack of Sentai footage. There are plenty of episodes after Ryan leaves that have close to 100% original footage, outside of Zord fights.
Unfortunately, around the time Ryan departs, there's way less focus on the civilian rescuing scenes, and more on the traditional Monster fights and gadgets. Which is ok, but just a bit disappointing after such an interesting start to the season. I actually did like the infighting amongst the demons, even if it wasn't quite up to the standard of Lost Galaxy's villains.
Overall, it's a pretty good season, but doesn't quite live up to the promise of the first third of the episodes.

The Quantasaurus Rex is such a cool design. Probably the coolest Sixth Ranger Zord since the Dragonzord. It's a shame the toy is designed around the automorph gimmick. It means that buying it secondhand is a crapshoot, so many of them can't transform for shit now.

I want pirates. Pure pirate gimmick without 'transforming into other rangers' gimmick. One of my problems with Gokaiger was the fact that they took a really cool gimmick that could have been great with cool power-ups on its own and wasted it.
I always thought that team based on legendary creatures (like yokais) would be cool. Unfortunately, Sentai is determined to use yokais and other mystical creatues as villains. They can use 'draw a symbol' gimmick again for transformation.

Do you think Super Dino Charge will draw upon Deathryuger? With the movie, giving them a lot of good looking footage to use and his return in the main show, albeit in his monster form only, he is a purely evil ranger and features the first 10 Rangers scene in Kyoryuger.

I watched PR when I was a kid and I liked them, I watched from Mighty Morphin until In Space, then I stopped until Wild Force and then I watched Ninja Storm and that's it. Then I discovered sentai and began with Gekiranger, I loved it and tried to watch an episode of Jungle Fury, I hated it. And I happen to dislike every PR based on a sentai I have watched. Anyway, what I want to know is:

Gekiranger (Jungle Fury), Shinkenger (Samurai) and Gokaiger (Super Mega Force). I tried to watch an episode of each to see how they did it and I disliked the characters, the story, in the case of Jungle Fury, the morphin sequence. I know they try to make an american version of it, but when you see a show so good and then you see they made a very bad copy, you just can't make yourself to enjoy it.

Trips aside, usually they don't. They tend to try to do their own thing as much as they can. In fact, Jungle Fury and Samurai are minorities in that they stay rather close to the sentai. Supermegaforce was just a mess.

I like Jungle Fury a lot. The only thing I really dislike about it is the annoying commentator during zord fights. I don't know how it compares to Gekiranger, because I haven't seen it. I find it a bit odd that you find the morphing sequence to be that detrimental to the show. Is it because they changed the morphers to sunglasses? If so, yeah, I agree, that's pretty stupid, but it doesn't really spoil it for me.
And no, I wouldn't like to see a dub of the sentai. I do occasionally watch dubbed Anime (though I watch plenty subbed stuff too). But dubbed live action stuff has always been pretty much unwatchable to me. If I'm watching a foreign language film, I always go for subtitles where I can.

Yeah, I have a friend that watched PR until RPM and told me it was better than its sentai counterpart. Unfortunaly, he said this PR is so bad he didn't even watched the ending, just stopped watching and read what happened in the end. Of course, this is just his opinion. But I don't plan to watch Go-onger and I just don't watch PR anymore.

I really can't say I hate Jungle Fury completely, since I just watched the first episode. Mostly what I disliked was that Jan (or whatever the red ranger's name is) wasn't a child lost in the jungle, that morphin sequence of the sunglasses instead of their fists and what I hated the most was the pizza place. Not nearly as much as I once did. The obvious restrictions and failings it has as a production are hard to look past once you see a version without them.

Yes, and before. Sometimes the adaptation makes changes I like, like many of the changes in Jungle Fury. Oftentimes, though, the Sentai is just the cleaner, more coherent product.

See I'm mostly completely opposite. I liked MMPR season 1 more than Zyuranger (mostly because I found it pretty boring), liked In Space more than Megaranger (although not by much. Mega is great, too) and Dino Thunder more than Abaranger. From what I've seen of Gingaman, Lost Galaxy is better, too. It also helps me, especially with Dino Charge, cos now Judd and Co. can see how the arc will go and who will important and who will be standing in the center of the room doing absolutely nothing.
Sure, JF is worse than Gekiranger (although Geki's fans really like to overplay how good it is), but it's still pretty enjoyable.

Yes, it is. It's no 'In Space' or RPM, but it's fun and characters are all developed. Reily is probably the least developed one of core 6, but even he has a decent character development.
Villains are entertaining. Action is great (granted, sentai was directed by Koichi, so it's a given).
Also, can we appreciate Sledge's suit actor? Dude is really good at acting with not really an expresive costume.

Takaharu gets less focus than even an usual Red in a well balanced season, are you one of those retards who thinks red being useful is a bad thing?
The first 30 episodes where Yakumo and Kasumi doing everything with some Kinji development on the side. Takaharu was only relevant when he beat the first general (using the powers of all the ninningers) and when they got Chozetsu, which was still focused on the entire group.
Then Nagi and Kinji got some arcs while Kasumi and Yakumo are still the most useful ones.
If anything, Takaharu would need more focus now. Fuuka was only useful on a scene on the movie.

PR isn't tied down to a single power tier.
So you've got basically three tiers: street-tier, super-tier, cosmic-tier.
Street-tier threats are muggers and bank robbers, and are stopped by street-tier heroes like Daredevil or Batman.
Super-tier threats are monsters, both human-sized and kaiju-sized and various metahumans/tech-using/magically-empowered villains that threaten no less than an entire city and no more than an entire planet, and are stopped by super-tier heroes like Superman (or the Justice League if the need is dire) or Iron Man (or the Avengers if the need is dire.
Cosmic-tier threats are beings that could destroy multiple planets with relative ease, up to the destruction of the universe, this dimension or possibly even reality itself, and are stopped by cosmic-tier heroes like the Green Lantern Corps, the Silver Surfer or Dr. Strange.
Unmorphed Rangers are street-tier, morphed Rangers up to the Megazord are super-tier, and the Z-wave was cosmic-tier.
TMNT is street-tier, but they get sucked in to super-tier conflicts in the comics all the time.

ironically Go-busters plot line has elements of the back story of VR Troopers (saban's first metal hero adaption merging 3 shows using metaider as the core for S1 and half of 2 the final half was Shader with spealban adding the two extra heroes and more monsters.) an invading force from cyberspace with the monsters and generals being programs given physical form. RPM's influence is the fact that the leader is an AI computer Virus.
