For those new to gunpla/plamo or even just new to this thread; please read the guide. Please read it before asking questions as there is a chance it has already been answered there.
For those unfamiliar, "plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model". If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here.
If you're new, you're gonna fuck up. Don't worry! If you're experienced, don't make the new people worry!

I like real touch markers. I just tap the panel line and let the link sink in, then clean it up with a cotton swab and a little alcohol, but the ink is so weak you can almost just rub of the excess with your finger lol. It kinda fades over time though, but that's just panel lining pins in general, nothing can beat actual paint. I don't know how it would work on painted kits though. Try checking the guide.

I don't understand how people can spend so much on gunpla and never actually improve. Like all the tripfags here have tons of kits, but none of them are improvements. Like with each kit I bought I tried to improve on my last one. Better nub removal, increasingly more complex painting, cleaner panel lining, that kinda thing. How can people spend so much time, and money on gunpla and never once think "I wonder if I could do this better?" Are they intentionally bad as some kind of ironic joke? Cause what's the bit? They wasted money, good for them I guess.

It's my go to scrap material for hackjob peg repair. Just whittle it down and apply plastiweld and pray you don't fuck it up even more.

I keep one around to clip 3mm pegs from for modding. The rest I toss out after removing any extra parts.

clip all polycaps, put them in their ziplock bag
keep any special color runners, especially clear ones, I even keep clear segments from visors like from the A runners
then I toss the rest because I always have more than I need by 1000x, you will basically never need more than 1 extra runner

Hey, I'm thinking about picking up an MG Crossbone. Now the question is which one, Ver Ka, or the Full Cloth. The manual scans on dalong seem to point to both kits having the exact same plates with the full cloth just getting some extra ones for the weapons and cape. Is there any reason to get the ver Ka instead? Side note, can you just build the ver Ka head using the extra parts from the full cloth, essentially giving you two different heads to choose from?

The ver ka comes with the realistic skull chest as opposed to the cartoony one on the full cloth and the head and faces have slight variance between the 2 thats hard to see because dalong panel lined then terribly

How do I git gud at nub removal? Back in the day, I'd do it exclusively with the knife, with varying success. Eventually I moved on to sanding strips, but they were rather coarse and scratched up more than I would've done with just the knife.Only recently now that I'm getting back into modeling am I actually bothering with proper sanding paper and paying attention to grits. I currently use 600-800 and polish with 4000-8000, but my biggest concern is just surface reshaping and too much material removal. How do I push myself to continue? I feel like I'm fucking up every time I have to get rid of a nub. I find that no matter what surface I use to sand, I end up convexing too much, and I feel like I'm doing more damage this way than I did before

As someone who has also built one of these, my advice with the clear blue bits is to remember what the Exia looks like and not fuck up the shoulder-to-arm ones, they're supposed to stick out and not be flush. Head is aight, don't know what the other guy's on about, but the V-fin does like to pop off, as does the top piece. I recommend a little bit of glue. Also remember that the RG shoulder armor mounting system is weak as shit and should be treated with care, and remember not to snip what looks like nubs off of the beam saber handles because it's 3 in the morning and you're suffering from insomnia.

If the goal of the REVIVE series is to give much needed reworks to older kits, I'm not seeing it here. The old HGUC Qeubeley is just fine. This looks like a half-hearted attempt at milking peoples wallets. It's like they said 'We'll bring out the regular one, then the recolor. Everyone is going to love it!' Not to mention the effect parts listed here for 1000 yen.

Yes. There is no argument there and I'm even surprised they're making an effect part for it, pleasantly surprised. But you have to consider there is still a lot of HG to be made. Or what about some enemy units for the V Gundams? No Crossbone VG suits. No Zanscare. There's sentinel kits but no Mk-V. No Turn-X,

Yeah I had either the S or the Ex-S can't remember. I also had an Xeku Eins and BACK THEN I wanted a Z plus sooo badly you have no idea. Ten years later, finally gets a HG. Too late for me to care.
I'll never buy the HG V or Crossbones cause there's no enemy units. Bandai's policy of taking no-risks should have repercussions.
