Goddamn did I ever underestimate her
Mixed feelings, everything about the plot and side characters has been outstanding but i cant let that kazuki thing slide, that was complete and utter deus ex machina and devalues his inner struggle the entire show, his want to live but his ever approaching death was interesting and actually gave him depth, this bullshit festum powers just went to reverse all that and give him a free pass and ultimately take away that depth in favor of just being a walking festum killer.
Its really disappointing and while it isnt enough to ruin the show thanks to the ensemble cast format it still takes a hit because of it.

Foreshadowing does not make things ok, clannad has a fuck ton of foreshadowing for the shit pulled at the end of after story that doesnt excuse it of being one of the most bullshit reversals that undermines everything the show did prior to it(not that it had much going on prior but it undermined everything regardless)
Kazuki's survival was just lazy writing, thats why no one mentioned it this episode, tow wrote himself into a corner and had to quickly find a way out of it.
